Located centrally between Dublin and Belfast, our 8.5 acre Head Office and fabrication facil-ities, which are fully equipped with overhead cranes and 8,000m2 of workshop floor area, provide an ideal factory construction envi-ronment which is reflected in the high quality solutions we offer.

We employ a strong team of design engi-neers, CAD technicians, contracts managers and skilled trades personnel who utilise their vast industry experience to assist in the de-sign, fabrication and delivery of our bespoke MEP solutions, which we supply throughout the UK and Ireland.

Our Packaged Plant Rooms designed and fabricated in-house, are delivered to site with all associated plant M&E works in-cluding BMS controls installed, offering a “plug-and-play” install and minimising disruption caused from on site works.

These Packaged Plant solutions also pro-vide the client with the comfort of one point of contact, who will take full re-sponsibility for the entire design and im-plementation of the heating system, in-cluding controls.

Our bespoke Plant Skid Modules come complete with anti-vibration mounting feet, all associated mechanical pipework c/w insulation, all electrical works c/w associated containment and with BMS controls fitted.

Our Plant Skid Modules offer a quicker, smarter and safer solution to conven-tional on site installation solutions.

Multi Service Modules.

8 - Offsite Fabrication Solutions

Alternative Heat’s Multi Service Module systems offer an ideal solution for lat-erals, risers and full plantrooms. Our in-house design teams develop detailed 3D REVIT layout design models, providing a full plant room layout concept prior to engagement of any fabrication works.

Once layout is finalised and approved, all associated pipework and bracketry is fab-ricated offsite in line with the approved fabrication drawings and is FAT tested before delivery.

Access to plantrooms in inner city high rise buildings can be prohibitive, with plant rooms often located in the basement or on the rooftop of buildings, with limited or restricted ac-cess.

This product provides one of the highest qual-ity products suitable for residential applica-tions with mechanical and electrical elements recessed and flush mounted where applicable, minimising ingress within the internal cupboard spaces and providing an appropriate finish for modern apartments.

This factory built product is an ideal solution for the challenges that come with large residen-tial developments. This product is designed to meet spacial constraints, vastly reduce project programme times and reduce project co-ordi-nation across multiple trade services.

Our NEW MEP Utility Cup-boards offer a complete pack-aged solution for the resi-dential market; coming fully fitted with Heat or Cooling Interface Unit, MVHR and all associated piping, mani-folds and electrics installed.

Alternative Heat were contracted by Trant Engineering as a specialist sub-contractor to design, manufacture, deliver and install 7No. Skid Mounted Heating and Pumping substations for a the Falklands Islands.

Each substation was carefully designed within bespoke skid frames and slid into military grade, weather sealed shipping containers to be shipped to the Falkland Islands.Fully fabricated and pressure tested offsite, our plug-and-play solution highlights the significant benefits of BIM-enabled offsite fabrication.

Offsite Fabrication Solutions -

Alternative Heat were contracted by Emico Building Services as a specialist sub-contractor to design, manufacture, deliver and install over 600 MEP Utility Cupboards for multiple high residential developments in Southbank Place, London (main contractor Canary Wharf Con-tractors).

This project required over 600 MEP Utility Cupboards to be manufactured and delivered over a 6 month period to suit the project programme. To meet requirements for each apartment layout, we were required to bespoke design and manufacture 24 individual MEP Utility Cupboard types con-sisting of a high level mechanical and electrical equipment specification with each containing an HIU, CIU, MVHR, home automation system, consumer units and audio visual systems.
