YOUR SUCCESS IS OUR SUCCESS

As an experienced, competent and reliable manufacturer

of foundation structures and towers for the offshore

and onshore wind energy sector, in recent years we

have established ourselves as a market-leading supplier

to energy groups, plant manufacturers and general

contractors. Our goal is to participate actively in protec-

ting the environment through the use of innovative and

green technologies. To achieve this we turn to bundled

creativity and expertise.

We have been part of the exciting wind industry since

1999. The company was founded in 1993 by Joachim

Görlitz and his father on the Am Mellensee site, with a

workforce of 35. Today, over 750 employees work at our

five locations, with their knowledge and commitment

contributing to the success of the company.

The AMBAU corporate group comprises AMBAU GmbH,

the subsidiary AMBAU Windservice GmbH and the sister

company AMBAU Personalservice GmbH.

WorldwideBoundless energy

We are at home in the North Sea and Baltic.

However, we also know no maritime

boundaries beyond these: as a consequence,

all worldwide destinations can be reached

without problem. The loading options of our

plants in Bremen and Cuxhaven make them

ideally suited for the shipping of offshore

components.

Whether it is towers for onshore wind energy

plants, large offshore towers for 5-megawatt-

plus units or foundation structures: we are the

partner for you!

11

WE ARE THE PARTNER FOR YOU

12

Our tailored and high-quality solutions make

us a sought-after partner worldwide. In this,

your requirements represent the impetus for

our further development. In close dialogue

with you we employ state-of-the-art produc-

tion procedures to develop solutions that both

support and promote your progress.

Together, we create the basis for an energy

policy future, driving on the expansion of re-

generative energies. We invest continuously in

research and development in order to render

our technology more environmentally friendly

and efficient.

Customer-orientedTailored solutions

13

With our five interconnected plants we are able

to react flexibly to the requirements of the

growth market of renewable energies. With

our high degree of automation and state-of-

the-art manufacturing plant we guarantee low

manufacturing tolerances and premium quality

of our products. Our sites at Cuxhaven and

Bremen are specifically focused on the market

for offshore wind energy plants.

Permanent innovations and investments are

the underlying guarantee for our success.

Consequently, we are not only experts in the

offshore field, but also pioneers in the onshore

segment. Specialisation in conical and cylind-

rical components for towers and pipe com-

ponents gives us a head start with regard to

expertise. With internal quality management,

consistent documentation of all processes

and regular inspections we ensure that our

own high standards are sustainably met. Our

manufacturer qualification is also certified by

the pertinent DIN standards.

EfficientPioneering energy use

14

We have also assembled extensive experience

as exclusive project partner in the first German

offshore wind park, alpha ventus: under the

rough conditions of the frequently stormy

North Sea we realised the pilot project with

our partners approximately 45 kilometres off

the coast of Borkum, at a depth of around 30

metres. The twelve 5-megawatt class wind

energy units of the wind park now cover the

annual energy requirements of over 50,000

households.

Each year AMBAU GmbH has a turnover of

some 450 foundation structures and 600

towers. The extensive loading area at our

Cuxhaven site enables us to ship directly

across the North Sea to numerous destinations

worldwide. Our product portfolio ranges from

towers for onshore wind energy units to large

offshore towers for 5-megawatt-plus units.

The overall package of our performance and

services makes us the ideal partner for your

offshore and onshore projects.
