The STAUFF Offl ine Filter System “Condition and Monitoring” OLS-CM has been specially developed for the elimination of dirt and water particles in hydraulic and lubrication systems.Subsequent integration into an existing hydraulic system is possible, since the offl ine fi lter system operates independently of the system cycle, also during scheduled machine downtimes. The Offl ine Filter System OLS-CM is optionally available with factory-fi tted Particle Monitor LPM II and Oil Condition Sensor OCS with Oil Condition Display OCD.

STAUFF Particle Monitor § Type LPM II

Product Description

The Particle Monitor LPM II uses newly developed high-performance LEDs, which provide an precise image of the degree of contamination in the hydraulic system.

Thanks to the large number of measuring channels, it is possible to distinguish particle sizes of between 4 μm and 70 μm. This allows you to assess the contamination even at higher contamination classes.

The LPM II has been specially developed for continuous monitoring of the hydraulic system. Due to the permanent installation in the system, the LPM II allows users to quickly respond to increasing contamination, thus protecting the system from expensive failures and machine downtimes.

The device shows the measured data on the display as a contamination class according to ISO 4406:1999, NAS 1638, AS 4059E and ISO 11218 or as a particle count per size. The internal memory has a capacity of up to 4000 measuring results.

All the measured data can be transferred to a PC across a USB or an Ethernet interface. It is also possible to implement real-time system analysis using this connection

You can additionally fi t the LPM II with a moisture sensor /temperature sensor. This sensor determines the water content of the measured fl uid (results in relative humidity, RH %) and apart from this states the current fl uid temperature (in °C).

STAUFF Oil Condition Sensor § Type OCS

Product Description

The Oil Condition Sensor OCS permits the detection of contamination and water ingress and accordingly the condition of the oil in real time. Time-consuming and costly oil changes are carried out on the basis of the actual condition of the oil rather than on spec or out of habit.

The demand for effective monitoring and maintenance programmes for lubrication systems in critical machinery and equipment is constantly increasing. In the wake of continually increasing prices for crude oil, it is becoming ever more important to maximize the service life of the lubricating oil. Monitoring the oil condition is an important factor for determining the best time for an oil change. Changing the oil too early incurs unnecessary costs, whilst changing it too late results in far higher costs owing to the increased wear and component failures.

The OCS sensor is a robust, highly fl exible and cost-effi cient monitoring system, which has been developed for permanent installation in lubricating oil and oil-hydraulic systems. The OCS sensor is up to 30 times more sensitive than dielectric sensors and permits the detection of water ingress and oxidation in real time.

Accssories for OCS Sensor

The Oil Condition Display OCD indicates the condition and optionally the temperature of the oil by means of a 20 segment LED display. Subdivided into three ranges (green, amber, red), the OCD display indicates the oil condition at a glance and without being connected to a PC.

The OCD display is available with an integral data logger, which allows the oil condition data to be saved. The data recorded can subsequently be read out and displayed with the operating software via a PC.
