Education Leadership Mollie VanArsdale Experience Skills September 2014 December 2014 Student to Business Initiative As part of the responsibilities for the Student to Business Initiative was to develop an integrated marketing plan for the Damiano Center to help achieve the client’s goals. The Damiano Center is a non-profit soup kitchen. The integrated marketing plan included: Developing media relations strategies that include paid, owned, and earned media. Redesigning their newsletter to emotionally connect with donors as well as inform donor of in kind needs (non monetary donations). Expanding the client’s website to become more user-friendly as well as give a more credible and professional look. October 2014 Present Labovitz School of Business and Economics (LSBE) Entrepreneurship and Innovation Conference In charge of the Marketing Committee in the upcoming student-run LSBE Entrepreneurship and Innovation conference. The Marketing Committee is responsible for the branding and advertising for the conference. My duties as chair: Collaborate with the coordinator, other committee chairs, and the Dean of LSBE. Position the conference as well as the speakers that will be attending. Implement the conference brand. September 2013 Present Kirby Leadership Program Certificate The Kirby Leadership Institute is a comprehensive leadership training program that incorporates leadership skills training with theory, practice, and culture. In order to complete the program I needed to pass three leadership courses, attend over 20 hours of workshops, and partake in 260 hours of volunteer work throughout the community. September 2014 Present Arc Northland Working alongside the Director of Development in raising funds and awareness of our nonprofit. Arc Northland’s biggest way to achieve this is through our fundraiser, Chocolate After Dark. Some of the duties I was assigned: Designing and writing posters, programs, sponser letters, and tickets. Organizing silent auction and raffle items. September 2013 Present Duluth Regional Care Center Working with young adults who have developmental disabilities. Assisting in accomplishing clients self goals and interactions with the community.
