2 Aims of the FCE

• To determine the European Champions (1st, 2nd, 3rd) of Wingsuit Performance Flying. • To determine the World Cup Winner (1st, 2nd, 3rd) of Wingsuit Performance Flying. • To determine the European Champions (1st, 2nd, 3rd) of Wingsuit Acrobatic Flying. • To determine the World Cup Winner (1st, 2nd, 3rd) of Wingsuit Acrobatic Flying. • To promote and develop Wingsuit Flying training and competition. • To establish new World and Continental Wingsuit Performance Flying competition

records. • To establish new World and Continental Wingsuit Acrobatic Flying competition records. • To present a visually attractive image of the competition jumps and timely standings

(scores) for competitors, spectators and media. • To exchange ideas and strengthen friendly relations between wingsuit flyers, judges and

support personnel of all nations. • To allow participants to share and exchange experience, knowledge and information. • To improve judging methods and practices.

3.2 Location of Event:

Ravenna Airport (LIDR/RAN), Via Dismano, 160, 48125 Ravenna, Italy Latitude: 44.366667° N Longitude: 12.216667° E Elevation: 0m - 0f

Ravenna Airfield located at 9 km from the Adriatic sea. As this is primarily a farming community, there are many areas for safe out-landings. There are several popular tourist attractions nearby that can be reached within a 10 minute drive (10-20 km), such as the famous Mirabilandia Family Fun Park, Zoo Safari, as well as a variety of water sports such as Water Skiing and Wakeboarding. There are also some internationally known beaches such as Milano Maritime or Cervia. Ravenna also hosts some very interesting historical and cultural sites such as the Roman Cathedral of Sant-Apolinnare in Classe and the UNESCO-cited Tomb of Theodoric. http://www.turismo.ra.it/eng/Discover-the-area/Art-and-culture/Unesco-world-heritage

3.4 Details of travel

3.4.1 Closest airline airports are:

• Rimini (RMI) located at 60 km from the dropzone, more info at http://riminiairport.com

• Bologna (BLQ) located at 90 km from the dropzone more info at http://www.bologna-airport.it

• Venezia (VCE) located at 160 km from the dropzone, more info at http://www.veniceairport.it/

3.4.2 From nearby airports to Ravenna the best connections are:

• The train Line “Pesaro / Ravenna”, directly heading Ravenna station, can be taken from/to a small train station which is located at 1 km north east of the airport. Tickets can be purchased online on https://trenitalia.com

• Bologna Airport is connected to the train station by “AeroBus” service. (https://aerobus.bo.it/en). Once In Bologna Train station a dedicated train line will head to Ravenna station. Tickets can be purchased online on https://trenitalia.com

• Venezia airport is connected to Mestre train station by “ATVO Airport Bus Express” http://www.atvo.it/en-venice-airport.html. Once In Mestre Train station a dedicated train line will head to Bologna station. From that point a train change is required. Tickets can be purchased online on https://trenitalia.com

3.4.3 From Ravenna city to the event Dropzone, Ravenna Airport is easily accessible by road and by using public transportation, a bus will stop nearby every 1 or 2 hours depending on the weekday and time:

• The bus Line connecting Ravenna train station to the airport is line number 3/141 (erroneously known by google as line 147). To get to the closest bus stop walk 300 meters through the garden and the church that is facing the station. The stop is called “Liceo Classico” and it is located in via Carducci.

• The bus takes 15 mins to reach the outside of the city, passing the airport (on its left) - the closest stop to the airport is called “Casetta Chiusaroli” also known as “Snack Bar Faina” and it is located 1 km after it. 4 Transportation

• The Dropzone will arrange transport for the judging team where required.

• Competitors will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the dropzone.

5 Entry: Fees & Registration

5.1 Entry Fee

• Wingsuit Performance Flying Competitors € 820,00 per person • Wingsuit Acrobatics Flying Competitors € 820,00 per person • Both Event Competitors € 1.300,00 per person • Head of delegation / Manager € 350,00 per person • Accompanying person € 100,00 per person

5.2 What entry fee does cover

• Competition jumps(9 for Performance / 7 for Acro – competitors only)• Opening ceremony banquet• Closing ceremony banquet• IPC sanction fee (accompanying persons excluded)

5.3 What entry fee does NOT cover

• Any needed insurance fee to be compliant with Italian insurance requirement of 1.5million euros coverage for third party liability.

5.3.1 Bank Details

5.5 Entry dates

According to the FAI Sporting Code, Section 5, the latest date is Monday, July 8th 2019 for all provisional entries to be made.

5.6 Procedure for submitting entries

The organizer will accept filled and signed registration forms sent to [email protected]

The entry form has to be filled and signed by NAC authorized person only (not from an individual competitor).

6 Dropzone facilities

Skydive Pull-Out has a long tradition of hosting many Italian National Skydiving Events, including the Classic Events, Artistic, Wingsuit and Canopy Piloting. Several international Wingsuit competitions have been held here as well.

Facility includes • Fully computerised manifest, with screens located around the dropzone • 3x5 meters Ledwall for live scoring, personal competitors details, sponsors • Free Wifi • Several rooms with flatscreen TV for debrief, judging, etc. • Large outside spectator and picnic area • Rigging services • Packing team • Dropzone Shop for gear sales and skydiving instruments • Free Camping for Tents, Campers and Caravans • Bunkhouse • Free Showers • Dropzone Bar serving hot and cold meals day and evening • Beautiful circular packing area • Large obstacle free landing area • Swoop pond • Virtual Reality Canopy piloting simulator / training • Children playground • Swimming pool

7 Aircraft details

The Drop Zone will operate two Cessna Caravans fitted for skydiving operations with in-flight doors and seatbelts. Exit speed will be in a range from 70 to 90 kts. Jump capacity is typically 75 jumps per hour subject to the number of wingsuit passes required.

8 Pre event One week prior the competition, if a sufficient number of people will be present, it will be possible to have a training camp from the same aircrafts which will be used during the competition. Jump ticket price:

• 32 Euro 4200m / FL 140 for not members • 28 Euro 4200m / FL 140 for members • membership is 90,00 €

9 Accommodation details 9.1 On site accommodation and food service

The dropzone is equipped with several wooden guest houses with shared bathroom. A food service is available directly at the dropzone bar or at the airfield restaurant.

9.2 Alternative On-site accommodation

A free of charges camping area is available at the dropzone, just next to the packing area and the bar.

9.3 Hotel

Skydive PullOut Ravenna has developed a working partnership with Grand Hotel Mattei ****s offering discount prices for skydivers involved in the 3rd FAI World Cup of Wingsuit Flying.

this discounted price, so contact her as soon as possible. It is extremely difficult to book a hotel room in Ravenna after the month of May and throughout the summer months as this is a very touristy city, especially in the month of August.

10 Equipment

All participants are required to wear equipment which is in compliance with the FAI Competition rules effective 1 March, 2019. Use of an AAD is mandatory at Skydive PullOut Ravenna. A competitor without an AAD will not be allowed to compete.

12 Judging & Scoring

12.1 OmniSkore!HD - www.omniskore.com will be used for both events. FlySight PLDs will be used. Computers will be available as needed to download and review FlySight data. FlySight systems will be provided by Organiser. The Acrobatics judging room will be equipped with large Full Hd TV’s as required.

12.2 Judge Training Course: A Judge Training Course will be offered at this event. The training room and TV screen will be provided by the organizer.

Qualified First Aid staff will be on-site throughout the event. Ravenna City Hospital is less than 10 km away and is equipped with a Helicopter in the event of a serious injury.

14 Insurance details Having skydiving insurance with third party liability thatcovers up to 1.500.000,00 € is mandatory to jump in Italy. If you came from outside EU please double check this, it’s highly probable you need a coverage upgrade! We are fine if you upgrade your own coverage in any way you prefer as long as it ends up covering 1.500.000,00 € within a single insurance contract.

We have 2 different companies who provide insurance, both cost 90,00 € and offer a 365 days coverage, both can be subscribed at the dropzone and will grant you the right to jump starting from the next midnight after payment (the next jumping day will be ok)

16 Rules and Regulations

18 Other matters

Each delegation must bring:

• their own national flag (approximately 100 cm x 150 cm) • their national anthem in a downloadable format (CD, MP3)

Bulletin #2 will be issued before July, 15th 2019.

18.1 Performance Navigation and lanes

There will be 4 different sets of reference points and every set will be angled by 45° from the previous one.

The reference points sets will be placed close to the landing zone in order to been used in both directions. This will allow the competitors to have 8 different lane directions by memorizing 4 set of reference points only.

<<performance competitors warning>> Due to their placement it is highly probable that reference points will be overshot during the performance. Each competitor is supposed to build their own next reference points during their flight.

In the provided example, the set aligned N-S will be used for E-W lanes, but the same set will be used to align W-E lanes too.
