Lisbon is proud and delighted to be welcoming the final of European football’s premier club competition for the first time since 1967, when the Estádio Nacional hosted the showpiece event. The venue for the 2014 final, the Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica, was formally inaugurated in 2003 and hosted several matches at UEFA EURO 2004 including the final.

Lisbon is Europe’s second-oldest capital. It is a soulful, captivating and picturesque town, offering many cultural treasures and tourist attractions in a beautiful setting with a pleasant climate.
