COURSE ENROLMENT

1) Download mStudent App

Tap on ‘Get Started’. Follow the online instructions to retrieve your User ID and Password which are necessary to complete the next steps.

You will find your User ID and Password on your ‘Acceptance of Offer’ letter.

2) Accept Course Offer, Complete Course Registration & Upload Photo

Using Mobile Device: mStudent App

Sign in via mStudent App to accept or defer your course offer, complete your course registration and upload your photo.

Using Laptop or Desktop Computer: eEnrol Portal @ www.np.edu.sg/enrol

Login to ‘My Enrolment’ via eEnrol Portal to accept or defer your course offer, complete your course registration and upload your photo.

Complete this step by the Course Registration deadline stated in your ‘Acceptance of Offer’ letter.

Upon successful login with your User ID and Password,

Click on ‘Proceed with your course registration’ to select the course offer.

You will need to complete the 10-step course registration. If you are unable to complete all the steps, click ‘Save as draft’ so that you can return to complete the relevant sections.

Apply for SingPass to access MySkillsFuture Portal (applicable to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents only) @ eEnrol portal. Note: International students will receive User-ID and Password via your NP email account at the start of the term.

Before you sign out, go to the section ‘Photo for Student Card / EZ-Link Card’ in ‘My Enrolment’ and click ‘Upload Photo’ to submit your photograph. Your photograph must meet certain guidelines before uploading. Click here for more details.

Check and verify all information before clicking ‘Confirm Registration’ to complete your course registration. A confirmation message will be shown. You can return to My Enrolment to check your enrolment status within 20 days from the time you completed your course registration.

3) Pay Course Fees i. Retrieve your e-Fee Voucher via My Enrolment for the fees payable. Click ‘Print Fee Voucher’ and

save a copy before paying. The link will not be available after you have paid the fees.

ii. If you are NOT applying for financial assistance schemes, please pay the total fees (which is the full/higher amount shown on the fee voucher).

iii. If you are applying for financial assistance schemes, please pay the other fees first (which is the lower amount shown on the fee voucher). The tuition fee will be claimed from MENDAKI, PSEA, CPF or Tuition Fee Loan when the semester commences.

Pay for your fees before the Due Date stated on your e-Fee voucher

at the designated OCBC branches, via AXS or online via My Enrolment.

Payment Mode 1: At Designated OCBC branches

Cash/ Cheque

• Go to a designated OCBC bank branch. You do not need to have an OCBC bank account.

• Cash OR Cheque made payable to Ngee Ann Polytechnic (Write your name, Student ID, contact number and NP’s Bank account “518- 715297-001” on the back of the cheque)

• Drop the cheque into the quick cheque deposit box.

• If paying by cash, please retain the deposit slip as proof of payment.

• Select Education > Ngee Ann Polytechnic > Outstanding > Enter Student ID to pay (e.g. 10100101A).

Select eServices > Education > Ngee Ann Polytechnic > Outstanding > Enter Student ID to pay (e.g. 10100101A)

• Go to eEnrol Portal

• Click My Enrolment and log in with your User ID and Password. • Follow on-screen instructions and take note of the payment reference as

proof of payment.

You will be informed via your NPConnect email in March to apply for financial assistance (PSEA, Mendaki, CPF or Tuition Fee Loan).

4) Submit Relevant Enrolment Forms A) Submit online Parent / Guardian Acknowledgement Form (COMPULSORY)

All students are required to submit the Parent / Guardian Acknowledgement Form if you are below 21 years old as at 2 January 2020.

Complete the form online in eEnrol Portal (4) Submit relevant enrolment forms.

If you have a SingPass account, click here to submit the form.

If you do NOT have a SingPass account, click here to submit the form with the upload of an image of the Parent / Guardian’s signature.

Alternatively, the navigation menu from our eEnrol portal is eEnrol Portal --> (4) Submit relevant enrolment forms.

5) Submit Financial Forms A) Submit Interbank GIRO Application Form (COMPULSORY)

All students are required to pay their school fees through Interbank GIRO.

Even if you have successfully applied for financial assistance schemes, you should join GIRO as the schemes may not be able to cover your fees in full for your entire course of study at NP.

Complete the compulsory Application for Interbank GIRO form online via My Enrolment and print a copy (for hardcopy applications).

Thereafter, return the signed/ bank-endorsed Interbank GIRO form to NP (in the Brown Envelope provided) within 3 working days from the Course Registration deadline stated in your ‘Acceptance of Offer’ letter.

(If thumbprints are used, please obtain bank’s endorsement on the form)

B) Complete the ‘Credit Authorisation Form’ (COMPULSORY)

The Credit Authorisation Form is to allow the Polytechnic to reimburse or pay you via GIRO whenever necessary.

Complete the form online in My Enrolment.

Click and complete the ‘Credit Authorisation Form (for Reimbursement/ Payment to Student by GIRO)’.

Then upload a copy of your bank statement or passbook.

C) Financial Assistance Schemes (Optional)

You may apply for the following financial assistance scheme. To do so, please refer to page 10 or visit the eEnrol portal.

Post-Secondary Education Account (PSEA) Scheme

Information on application for financial assistance schemes will be communicated to enrolled students in March/April. For more details, you may wish to refer to www.np.edu.sg/admissions/Pages/aid.aspx. (Finance will also be sending out emails on other schemes in March)

Download the ‘PRE-ADMISSION COLOUR VISION / MEDICAL EXAMINATION’ form @ the eEnrol Portal, and follow the instructions on the Medical Form.

Select the correct medical form based on the course you are offered.

i. Pre-Admission Colour Vision Test Form

ii. Pre-Admission Medical Examination Form (Nursing)

iii. NIEC Medical Form (ECDE and TSE)

Follow the instructions on your Medical Form on which clinic to visit for your Medical Check as well as mode of submission of completed Medical Form.

Medical Checks must be completed within 2 weeks from the Course Registration deadline stated in your ‘Acceptance of Offer’ letter.

i. Check that your medical form has been completed and endorsed by the doctor before you leave the clinic.

ii. Collect the medical report (Blood investigation report) and X-ray report from the clinic within 3 – 5 working days (NIEC ECDE/ TSE Freshmen only).

iii. FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ONLY, in addition to the medical form from our eEnrol Portal, do bring along the ICA Medical Form.

GETTING READY FOR NP 1) Freshmen Orientation

Please refer to www.np.edu.sg/studentlife/Pages/orientation.aspx for more information on the ‘Freshmen Orientation 2020’.

2)Notebook Computer/iPad and Software

You may purchase a Notebook Computer or iPad at the ‘Notebook Exhibition & Sales’ event at NP Convention Centre from 4 - 7 March from 9am – 8pm. Afterwhich, you can visit Student Services & Visitors Centre (SSVC) Block 1, Level 1 from 9 - 20 March or 6 - 17 April (excluding weekends) from 10am – 5pm.

You can visit www.np.edu.sg/notebook for more information on Notebook Computer or iPad required for your course.

If you already own a Notebook Computer or iPad, you are not required to purchase a new one. You can check if your existing Notebook Computer or iPad meets the minimum specification for your course at www.np.edu.sg/notebook. Click on “Minimum Specifications” on the notebook website to find out more.

If you require financial assistance to purchase a Notebook Computer or iPad, see details at www.np.edu.sg/admissions/Pages/aid.aspx.

You will need course-related software, and you can download them from home at www.np.edu.sg/software

Nursing (NSG) freshmen will require mobile devices for mobile learning. The school has prepared a suite of apps (compatible with Apple devices running iOS 10 or later and Android devices running Marshmallow 6.0 or later) for this purpose.

3)Class Timetable and other Student E- Services

You can check your class timetable at https://npalstudent.np.edu.sg from 17 April 2020.

Log in with your User ID and Password.

Alternatively, you can also access your class or exam timetable, exam results and more via your mStudent App.

4) Textbooks Your lecturers will inform you of the textbooks to purchase during class at the start of the term.

You may purchase your textbooks from 20 Apr to 29 Apr 2020 on campus (OurSpace@72). Thereafter, textbooks can be purchased online at www.ubspress.com/nptextbooks/.

5) Student Card You will receive your NP student card by mail if you have indicated a local mailing address.

Those without a local mailing address have to collect their NP student cards from 27 April 2020 on campus (Student Services & Visitors Centre, Blk 1, Level 1).

6) Student EZ- Link Card

Upload a recent passport-standard photo (colour with white background) via My Enrolment for your Student EZ- Link card.

Upon successful course registration, you will receive a SMS notification to check your Concession Card eligibility status by calling Transitlink Hotline at (1800-2255 663) or visit Transitlink website (www.transitlink.com.sg) after 1 April 2020*.

If you are eligible**, you can apply directly and make payment of $8.10 to Transitlink for the Student EZ- Link card at any TransitLink Offices.

When your Student EZ- Link card is ready (in about 2 weeks’ time), you will receive a SMS notification to collect card on campus (NP Student Services & Visitors Centre, Blk 1, Level 1).

Please bring along your NRIC/ Student Card for verification purpose.

7) International Students All International Students are required to apply for the Student’s Pass (STP) upon completion of course registration.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE SCHEMES Applications for financial assistance schemes are open in March and April 2020. The approved scheme will be effective throughout the course of study at NP unless revoked by the applicant in writing, or if there is insufficient fund balance. NP will notify all students in mid-June, if there are any balance fees payable after processing the various financial assistance schemes.

Post-Secondary Education Account (PSEA)

This scheme is for all Singaporean students or students with Singaporean siblings who have balances in their PSEA accounts.

For deduction during the course of study and using student’s own PSEA, refer to the guide and submit compulsory online form here.

For deduction during the course of study and using sibling(s)’s PSEA, download the Standing Order form here.

Bursaries & Grants

This scheme is for all eligible full-time and PFP students based on household income.
