August 22, 2016 Ms. Rachel Dowdy Student Programs Coordinator American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Dr. Carlos Gonzalez Dean College of Engineering, Land Surveying and Geospatial Sciences RE: Letter of Endorsement As Dean of Engineering of the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico, I am pleased to welcome the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics student branch to the university. This student organization (AIAA PUPR) will improve the relationship between the university’s students and the aerospace community. Moreover, it will effectively enhance the university’s recognition as a whole. Currently, the aerospace industry is the fastest growing industrial segment in the island and our mechanical - aerospace program is the largest undergraduate program. I congratulate all students and professors who were involved in the organization’s development and I will strongly support the organization’s endeavors in the upcoming future.
