We stood and recited the Pledge of Allegiance. Gail read minutes from last meeting, approved as read. Treasurer’s report: Ron gave the Treasurers report. New Members or Guests: No new members or guests. Good of the order: Dorothea just had a pace maker put in. Doris Zaleski is battling Alzheimer’s so she will not be able to attend any more meetings, Mel Oliver has been in and out of the hospital dealing with some serious health issues as well. Best wishes to all of them. Past Events: Pete’s cruise in still happening the first Thursday of the month Don Larson was the only one there last month and we would like to see more people make it. Bruce states he can vouch that the new owners put out good food. The Medford Rod & Custom show turned out great. Gail said that the winner of best of show received a coat, a large trophy and a check for $1,000. The Special Olympic walk a thon was held. There was plenty of help, thanks to those that came out to help.

The Oakland Car Show was yesterday. It was wet but there were around 50 cars. Among those that won in their classes were Mickie & Rudy, Ray & Mary Lou, Blaine & Judy, and Dick Thornley.

John Dyer went to the Redding car show. He said it was hot. A big show with lots of people.

Old Business: Business cards are now available. If you need a purple shirt you need to get the orders in. The show-n-shine shirts are being sold at the meetings. The winner with the green car bought 20 shirts already. The teen center is excited about working the spectator parking. Gordon and Jack will get together with them before the show to give them directions.

New Business: The sign-up sheet is going around for the show-n-shine. Please sign up as there are plenty of spots left that need worked.

We need goodie bag stuffers. 500 items are needed for these. Also, raffle prizes are needed.

Thank you to Larry Grimit for donating $150 towards raffle prizes and thank you to Karen Boyd for going and purchasing items.

Ray moved and Jack seconded for the club to donate $150 towards raffle prizes also.

Guila said she will take the graffiti books to South County when they are ready.

There is a new show on Friday of Graffiti, this will be hosted at Lithia Ford.

The next club meeting will be on June 11 and will be a potluck. Bruce made motion and Ray seconded it for the club to buy chicken. Please bring a dish that will feel 8-10 people. We will eat at 5 p.m. at the Winston Community Center.

On June 4 at 8 a.m. there will be a road cleanup. Meet at the River Forks Park road.

May 21 is the March Show thank you picnic, eat at 1 p.m. and bring a side dish, burgers will be provided.

Editor Corner: Sorry for not getting the newsletter out on the 25th but I didn’t receive the club meeting minutes until the 29th. At least it gives me a chance to say that I hope everyone had a pleasant and safe Memorial Day. Monna, her grandsons Nick and Logan, and I spent the holiday at a dry campsite called Boundary Springs, just south of Crescent, OR. The weather was warm in the days and cold at night. It would have been a lot better if not for the thousands of mosquitoes. After two showers, after getting home, I think I have finally gotten all the DEET insect repellent off me.
