The total number of points that you can earn during the semester is capped at 100. UniversitypolicyspecifiesthatthegradeofI-incompleteis“anon-punitivegradegivenonlyduringthelastone-fourthofa
semesterandonlyifastudentis(1)passingthecourse;(2)hasjustifiablereasonwhytheworkcannotbecompletedon
schedule;and(3)arrangeswiththeinstructortofinishthecourseatalaterdatebycompletingspecificrequirementsthat
the instructormust listonthegradesheet.Allwork in thecoursemustbecompletedwithin thespecifiedtime(not to
exceedoneyearaftertakingthecourse).”

AcademicDishonesty
Allworkcompletedforthisclassisexpectedtobethestudent’sown,andacademicdishonesty(including,butnotlimited
to,plagiarismonpapersorcheatingingeneral)willbepunished.Studentscaughtcheatingorplagiarizingwillreceivea“0”
forthatparticularassignment.Additionally,theincidentwillbereportedtotheDeanofStudents,whomayimposefurther
penalty. According to theUNT catalog, the term “cheating” includes, but is not limited to: a. use of any unauthorized
assistanceintakingquizzes,tests,orexaminations;b.dependenceupontheaidofsourcesbeyondthoseauthorizedbythe
instructor inwriting papers, preparing reports, solving problems, or carrying out other assignments; c. the acquisition,
withoutpermission,oftestsorotheracademicmaterialbelongingtoafacultyorstaffmemberoftheuniversity;d.dual
submissionofapaperorproject,orresubmissionofapaperorprojecttoadifferentclasswithoutexpresspermissionfrom
theinstructor(s);ore.anyotheractdesignedtogiveastudentanunfairadvantage.Theterm“plagiarism”includes,butis
notlimitedto:a.theknowingornegligentusebyparaphraseordirectquotationofthepublishedorunpublishedworkof
anotherpersonwithoutfullandclearacknowledgment;andb.theknowingornegligentunacknowledgeduseofmaterials
preparedbyanotherpersonoragencyengagedinthesellingoftermpapersorotheracademicmaterials.

Conduct
Studentbehavior that interfereswithan instructor’sability toconductaclassorotherstudents'opportunity to learn is
unacceptableanddisruptiveandwillnotbetoleratedinanyinstructionalforumatUNT.Studentsengaginginunacceptable

FinancialAidandSatisfactoryAcademicProgress
AstudentmustmaintainSatisfactoryAcademicProgress(SAP)tocontinuetoreceivefinancialaid.Studentsmustmaintain
aminimum2.0cumulativeGPAinadditiontosuccessfullycompletingarequirednumberofcredithoursbasedontotal
registeredhoursperterm.Studentscannotexceedattemptedcredithoursabove150%oftheirrequireddegreeplan.Ifa
studentdoesnotmaintaintherequiredstandards,thestudentmaylosetheirfinancialaideligibility.
Studentsholdingmusicscholarshipsmustmaintainaminimum2.5overallcumulativeGPAand3.0cumulativeGPAinmusic
courses.

RetentionofStudentRecords
