Position Duration Position begins this fall and is available for renewal each semester depending eligibility.

Scheduled Work Hours 3-10 hours per week with potential for more as office needs. The hours will vary depending on recruiting schedule throughout the academic year. Availability to work nights and weekends when needed.

Work-study eligible preferred but not required

• Applicant must be in good academic standing with any academic major.

• Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0.• Travel by personal car or with admissions staff member is required.• Previous knowledge of campus buildings, offices, resources, and policies is

preferred but not required.

visits, special career and job fairs, and college fairs.• Set an excellent example for current and prospective students to follow.• Exhibit enthusiasm, energy, sincerity, and knowledge of the university.• Be able to speak in front of large crowds.• Be willing to get involved with other areas of campus.

The Student Ambassador program enables visitors to meet our students and discover what college life is really like at IUPUC.

The value of student ambassadorsIUPUC Student Ambassadors are friendly, approachable, knowledgeable and have a positive influence on others, while working to increase an awareness of IUPUC in south central Indiana. Student ambassadors serve as an effective campus resource and are often utilized in a wide range of different university activities.

Expectations and activities

▪ Attend regularly scheduled ambassador meetings

▪ Devote approximately four hours weeklyto student ambassador activities

▪ Assist with on and off campus events: VIP Daysinformation sessions, campus tours, high school visits, prospective student visits, special career and job fairs, and college visits

▪ Set an excellent example for current and prospectivestudents to follow

▪ Exhibit enthusiasm, energy, sincerity, and knowledgeof the university

▪ Be willing to get involved with other campus clubs and organizations

▪ Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0

Personal and professional development benefits

▪ Obtain an ambassador scholarship each semester for time and efforts
