Many global changes enacted: the Ribbon user interface now the default for all applications
Office applications: New features added to the individual applications

Introduced in Office 2007: replaces menu and submenus
Ribbon contains the set of commands for working in a document
Ribbon groups buttons for common tasks in tabs
In Office 2010 found across all applications including Outlook, OneNote, and SharePoint.

• The Office 2010 Web applications are available to anyone with a free Windows Live account
• Windows Live account will allow you to create, edit, and share existing documents with others. You'll also be able to store documents online to a free Windows Live SkyDrive account
• SkyDrive grants 25.0 GB of free space for storage• If you use Hotmail, Messenger, or Xbox LIVE, you already
have a Windows Live ID. If not, you can create a Windows Live account to access services the web based applications and SkyDrive.
