UPC Nebraska Presents: UNL Homecoming Concert, September 21, 2017, East Campus Mall Event Description: It is fall in Nebraska and the University Program Council (UPC) is excited once again to be included in UNL Homecoming 2017. Join us on Thursday, September 21, 2017 as UPC brings a country music concert to the University of Nebraska East Campus. The concert will be FREE to attend for UNL students and open to the general public. Transportation between City and East Campus will be provided to UNL students at no additional cost. Event Detail: The UNL Homecoming Concert will be held on the East Campus Mall (green space south of Chase Hall) from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Students will be allowed entrance to the area starting around 7:00 PM. In the case of inclement weather, the concert will be moved to the Lancaster Event Center, and we will provide further details by Noon on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 via UNL and UPC Nebraska social media accounts. Volunteer Information: UPC is seeking volunteers to assist with set up and tear down. Homecoming participation points will be given to UNL students and student organizations that volunteer. For every hour each volunteer works before the concert begins, volunteers will be able to earn up to 5 points for an organizational maximum of 60 points. For every hour worked during the concert, each volunteer can earn up to 10 points per hour, for an organizational maximum of 20 points. For every hour worked after the concert is over, volunteers are able to earn 10 points for a total of 20 points per organization. Volunteers will be primarily assisting with the movement of equipment and staging, and therefore should dress appropriately. Work clothes are required, along with close-toed shoes. Student volunteers who are improperly dressed will not be able to volunteer and will not receive participation points for their respective organizations. All volunteers who choose to participate must sign up electronically by Friday, September 8, 2017. Please complete the UNL Homecoming Concert Volunteer Form and provide the following information: volunteer name, email, phone number, t-shirt size, available times, and organization(s). There will be various shifts throughout the day for volunteers to sign up, and time slots will be on a first come, first serve basis. Thank you for your consideration in helping the University Program Council with the 2017 UNL Homecoming Concert. For further information and details, please contact Sydne Weber, UPC Entertainment Chair at [email protected].
