It’s so hard to believe summer went by so quickly! Even harder to be- lieve is that the first quarter is nearly over and it still feels like we just started. We have had a great start this year and I wanted to say “CONGRATULATIONS” to all MMS students for sky rocketing us to an outstanding API score of 740. This shows the dedication and hard work everyone is committed to here at McFarland Middle School. I believe this year is going to be really fun and there is no doubt in my mind that we will see even more growth in all your academic classes. If everyone does their part, there is no stopping us on our mission to be the best. I wanted to offer a few other suggestions to help you be successful here at MMS. First, be on time to class, school begins at 7:58 a.m., and there is enough time to get from class to class. If we are not in class then we cannot be learning. Second, breakfast is essential to start the day right. All students may eat breakfast and lunch for free in the cafeteria and breakfast is served starting at 7:15 a.m. Finally, please come prepared to school. That not only includes having all the things needed like pencils, paper, and homework, but also having the right attitude to get the job done which is to learn. Ladies and gentlemen, have a great year and always do everything you can to be the best. If you ever need to talk to me, my door is always open. Come in and see me or catch me in the hallway. It’s so hard to believe summer went by so quickly! Even harder to be-

lieve is that the first quarter is nearly over and it still feels like we just

started. We have had a great start this year and I wanted to say

“CONGRATULATIONS” to all MMS students for sky rocketing us to an

outstanding API score of 740. This shows the dedication and hard work

everyone is committed to here at McFarland Middle School. I believe this

year is going to be really fun and there is no doubt in my mind that we

will see even more growth in all your academic classes. If everyone does

their part, there is no stopping us on our mission to be the best.

I wanted to offer a few other suggestions to help you be successful

here at MMS. First, be on time to class, school begins at 7:58 a.m., and

there is enough time to get from class to class. If we are not in class then

we cannot be learning. Second, breakfast is essential to start the day right.

All students may eat breakfast and lunch for free in the cafeteria and

breakfast is served starting at 7:15 a.m. Finally, please come prepared to

school. That not only includes having all the things needed like pencils,

paper, and homework, but also having the right attitude to get the job

done which is to learn.

Ladies and gentlemen, have a great year and always

do everything you can to be the best. If you ever need

to talk to me, my door is always open. Come in and

see me or catch me in the hallway.

Bulldogs, like many large-skulled dogs are not well-suited for water and are in danger of drowning when swimming. Many celebrities own

bulldogs including Leonardo Di-Caprio, Reese Witherspoon, David Beckham, Ashley Olsen, Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, and Martha Stew-art.

Bulldogs have a long and illustrious history and are one of the most popular dogs in the world. But how much do you know about bulldogs? Bulldogs are the 6th most popular breed in America and French bull-dogs are ranked 18th. In Los Ange-les though, bulldogs are #1, and French bulldogs are #5. Bulldogs

There’s a “miracle” called Friendship

That dwells within the heart

And you don’t know how it happens

Or when it gets its start

But the happiness it brings you
