For control and converter protection an external measurement board for current and voltage measurement is needed. Output transformer isolates the common mode voltage, decreases conductive emission and enables the 3-phase four wire grid (Dyn). Main task of the controller is to keep the voltage as sinusoidal and as symmetric as possible. The power quality fullfills the requirements of european standard EN50160. The control has special features of harmonic voltage correction and asymmetry correction. Very fast control response in dynamic load steps keeps the flicker index low. The voltage and frequency can be set by parameters. Converter protection and human protection are on high degree. In addition to standard converter protection, new features are developped to maintain high fault current capability. Due to voltage feedback and active correction; single phase load, nonlinear load, reactive load etc. do not distort nor decrease the island voltage. The source impedance is sort of adaptable.
