A New Worship Series for Lent 2019 —

“Heart Renovation 101: Exploring the Seven Deadly Sins”

People may say that Christians are too judgmental, and talk too much about sin. We may indeed be very good at pointing out the proverbial speck in another’s eye while missing the log in our own. Yet all too often we prefer not to dwell on the specifics of our own sinfulness — to our peril. At the heart of sin is the violation of relationships with God and others. Unchecked it wreaks havoc in our lives. Join us for all six weeks as we honestly explore the things that undercut our relationships, and as we invite Jesus to move our lives and relationships to a whole new life-giving level. Past Sermons in the series are available online.

Today we are very grateful for the musical leadership being offered by guest musician, Gaylene Hennen. Welcome Gaylene! The next training class for Stephen Ministers will begin on Monday, April 29, 2019 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. and will run through to Monday, September 09, 2019. If you would be interested in finding out more about becoming a Stephen Minister, please see Jayne Martin. The April (Easter) of ConnXions is available at the Volunteer Corner. The minutes from the annual meeting are available at the welcome desk. For the Easter Sunday Sunrise Service in Heritage Park, park by the reservoir, go down the walking trail, and follow the signs to find the service. Maps will be available Palm Sunday. In the case of adverse weather, the Sunrise Service will be held in the Karl English Lounge.
