MENTORING STUDENTS • Zach Easley (undergraduate) will work on a Boolean research project, spring 2014. • I am Shuruq A!Ghamdi's Thesis advisor. Topic: Finitely Generated Abelian Groups

and an Iterative Construction of Finitely Generated Modules Over PID. She will defend her thesis in mid-January, 2014.

• Zach Deskin (undergraduate) worked on a research project; Bases for Finitely Generated Groups. He made a presentation at the MAKO conference, 2013.

• KSMSU: I was interviewed by SMSU's radio station's personnel and the program was aired to other radio stations in southwest Missouri, fall 2000. I was interviewed by various people from other radio stations also.

• KOZK TV and SMSU TV COMMON PURPOSE: The NSF grant team made a video for the middle school students which show the students opportunities for careers in mathematics and science. I gave an introduction to this video. The complete program "Women in Science/Horizons" was aired in the spring of2001 over both KOZK and on SMSU's Television program, Common Purpose.
