What does an epic reveal about its culture?
Warm-Up 1
• Between you & your elbow buddy, locate a piece of paper. At the top, write all 10 vocabulary words.
• Write the first sentence of a story using 1 of the words.
• Pass it back.• Take the new sheet, add the 2nd sentence
to that story using one of the other words.• Etc….
To Do
• Read pgs. 853-865
• Add to culture chart
• Find at least 1 of each of the following:– Homeric simile - personification– simile - epithet– metaphor - imagery
