Student Bulletin
october’s Theme: respect
Friday, Oct. 31st , 2014
The sponge is the only multi-cellular animal
without a nervous system.
QUOTE OF THE DAY
There are two primary choices in life:
To accept conditions as they exist, or accept the
responsibility for changing them.
~ Denis Waitley
THE NO PLACE FOR HATERESOLUTION OF RESPECT
We pledge, from this day forward to do our best to combat prejudice and to stop those who violate the civil rights of others. We will seek to understand those who are different. We believe that one person can make a difference and that no person should stand by when it comes to opposing hate. We will speak out against prejudice and discrimination. We will reach out to those who are victims of hate. We know that we must all promote harmony, equality and respect. By signing the pledge, we commit ourselves to creating a community that is No Place for Hate.
Advisory/Classroom of the Month: Scharf
Project Wisdom
IntegrityHonestyHow many of you have ever worked for hours putting together one of those really big picture puzzles, only to discover a few pieces are missing? When you are putting a puzzle together, you are actually integrating all the pieces to create the whole picture. To Integrate means “to make whole” and the word integrity means ‘wholeness”. It also means the ‘quality of being honest.” You see, we can’t be whole human beings unless we are honest human beings. So here’s my bulletin: If you want to feel really good about yourself, you have to integrate all the beautiful pieces that make up you. When you are being dishonest, something is missing. You’re incomplete like a picture puzzle with missing pieces.Today, remember the words of Cervantes in his famous book, Don Quixote: Honesty is the best policy.

Bela HainI really enjoyed how it gave me a break from the stressful life of a teenager to just relax. This really benefited me by relieving some anxiety I was feeling, while also spending time with friends.
