Newsletter October Greetings, members. It’s officially Fall, with all the great things that brings. For us, that means cars and football. By the time you’re reading this, the 2nd Annual Johnny Martin Cup has most likely come and gone. Our thanks go to all of you who helped make it a success, whether you sponsored the event, showed your classic American ride, or just showed up to check out the show. As for what’s still coming up in October, we hope to see many of you here on Sunday the 11th for the Broncos/ Raiders game. The club opens at 1:30, with kickoff at 2:25. We’ll be running happy hour drink prices and a special tailgate menu, along with our regular offerings. On the 15th, we’ll be hosting our Fall Wine Dinner featuring wines from Sonoma. We have five fantastic paired courses planned for you, and at $49 per person, it’s a delicious deal. All the wines we’ve selected are great, but if you miss out on the Pedroncelli Vintage Port with the dessert course, you’ll regret it. For those thinking about a little international travel, be sure to stop by from 3pm – 5pm on the 17th. Fellow mem- bers Chris and Kathleen Lennon from Winding Road Adventures will tell you all about their recent driving tour of Germany, including the Porsche factory in Stuttgart, the Nurburgring and a veritable smorgasbord of other places. Our Checkered Flag Party series will continue this month, with a small change. Since the last Saturday of October falls on Halloween, we figured we’d avoid the whole mess and have the party on Saturday the 24th instead. Mar- cus John Ochoa will be back this month, so mark your calendars and get your RSVPs in. Lastly, as most of you know, my time as part of the Johnny Martin’s team was always planned to be temporary. I will be departing at the end of October to pursue another project. Before I go, I’ll be working hard to tie up loose ends and set a solid direction for the club’s future. As we get close to the end of the month, you’ll hear about the plan for the leadership structure moving forward and what it means for you. Until then, thank you for all the kind- ness and support you’ve shown me over the past few months. It has truly been a pleasure to serve you. All the best! Travis

October is an exciting time at Johnny Martin’s Car Central because we host the Johnny Martin Cup Car Show. We have pre-1972 American made cars on display for the community to see, appreciate and inter-act with other car enthusiasts. What is a Car Show? Technically it is a public exhibition of current automobile models, debuts, con-cept cars, or out-of-production classics. There are other auto shows that are "car enthusiasts events". These

events usually have themes, such as classic cars, hot rods, etc. and showcase custom, classic, or exotic cars. We are extremely fortunate at Johnny Martin’s to be able to host such an exciting event every fall. But we are even more fortunate to be able to have a car show every day here at the Club. Here are a few of the beauties that we have been lucky enough to show on a daily basis at Johnny Martin’s Car Central.
