**QUALITIES THAT MAKE A GREAT LEADER**A good leader is made not born.

HonestyWhatever ethical plane you hold yourself to, when you are responsible for a team of people,

its important to raise the bar even higher. Your business and its employees are a reflection of

yourself, and if you make honest and ethical behavior a key value, your team will follow suit.

Ability to DelegateFinessing your brand vision is essential to creating an organized and efficient business, but if

you don’t learn to trust your team with that vision, you might never progress to the next stage.

Its important to remember that trusting your team with your idea is a sign of strength, not

weakness. Delegating tasks to the appropriate departments is one of the most important skills

you can develop as your business grows. The emails and tasks will begin to pile up, and the

more you stretch yourself thin, the lower the quality of your work will become, and the less you

will produce. The key to delegation is identifying the strengths of your team, and capitalizing

on them. Find out what each team member enjoys doing most. Chances are if they find that

task more enjoyable, they will likely put more thought and effort behind it. This will not only

prove to your team that you trust and believe in them, but will also free up your time to focus

on the higher level tasks, that should not be delegated. It’s a fine balance, but one that will

have a huge impact on the productivity of your business.

Communication

Knowing what you want accomplished may seem clear in your head, but if you try to explain it to someone else and are met with a blank expression, you know there is a problem. If this has been your experience, then you may want to focus on honing your communication skills. Being able to clearly and succinctly describe what you want done is extremely important. If you can’t relate your vision to your team, you won’t all be working towards the same goal.Training new members and creating a productive work environment all depend on healthy lines of communication. Whether that stems from an open door policy to your office, or making it a point to talk to your staff on a daily basis, making yourself available to discuss interoffice issues is vital. Your team will learn to trust and depend on you, and will be less hesitant to work harder.

Ability to Inspire

Creating a business often involves a bit of forecasting. Especially in the beginning stages of a startup, inspiring your team to see the vision of the successes to come is vital. Make your team feel invested in the accomplishments of the company. Whether everyone owns a piece of equity, or you operate on a bonus system, generating enthusiasm for the hard work you are all putting in is so important. Being able to inspire your team is great for focusing on the future goals, but it is also important for the current issues. When you are all mired deep in work, morale is low, and energy levels are fading, recognize that everyone needs a break now and then. Acknowledge the work that everyone has dedicated and commend the team on each of their efforts. It is your job to keep spirits up, and that begins with an appreciation for the hard work.

I want to acknowledge our Ruby leader Chris Lugo, who follows every tip and suggestion put in front of her to grow her business and help her team

to prosper and grow. Chris posts 3 times a day on face book and changes those posts up to reflect her business, home and personality. She plugs in to nearly every phone call, whether that is at the time of the call or later for the recording. Chris goes to every event she can OTOM, trainings in her area and even has trainings at her home available for her team. She is always offering to take members of her team with her. Chris set a goal of 12 team members to join her at Limelite 2015 and she hasn’t stopped for a minute in helping her team realize how they could find a way to go.She is someone who is worthy of recognition and a joy to be working with. If you have not met her, make it a point to do so in person or by social media. If you do know her know what I am talking about, so give her a shout out today and let’s honor one of our true leaders.

Shout Out!!! !

Vendor Events-Part One Secure a vendor event by applying for it and paying for it before the deadline. Make sure you ask the event coordinator that you are the ONLY It Works Distributor at the event including the names of the Crazy Wrap Thing, Skinny Wrap, It Works, etc. Inform event coordinator that it is not a competitive issue or territory issue but an It Works policy within the Distributor agreements that the first one with an agreement for the event IS the only one to be there and any others to disregard.

It is up to you as a Leader and business owner to open up your vendor booth to allow your team work the booth with you and share the costs. This is a great team training opportunity and learning experience for each Distributor. By sharing the costs it is affordable and also a business expense to use towards your write-offs at tax time.

A-share the costs equally or the best a new distributor can accommodateB-establish a guideline in doing the vendor event such as sharing the leads

1. leads are generated from your free wrap drawing box2. equally divide the leads among everyone who worked the booth that

day3. leads can be shared but if a lead is a personally known or connected

at the event where you spent a considerable amount of time with and you can mark that lead with your name on it with a note to accept that as one of your leads when it comes to sharing at end of event.

4. Working as a team in the booth can mean everyone helps answerquestions and demonstrations to ensure answers are compliant and policy. The potential leads need to know how wonderful you all are working together with enthusiasm which helps generate more interest to your booth and more leads.

Page 10: October newsletter

10

C.-Prior to the event you can do a group message spelling out the guidelines to include an agreement of prospects, loyal customers and distributors. Meaning determine a rotation of who will get them in order, especially when these are people who are strangers to all in the booth and are blitzed on the spot at the booth. Example –Alice, Brenda and Cindy are doing the booth together. First loyal signing up at booth to go to Alice, next person wants to sign up goes to Brenda, then next is Cindy. If you are sideline sisters working the booth it is very important to get this established prior to event. Feelings will not be hurt or will any miscommunication of who gets who when everyone understands prior to events.

D-Now doing a vendor booth with others can be so much fun and a great time! But, it is a business as well. When working a booth together not everyone can be at an event for the entire duration of the event. Working out a schedule prior to it is a must. When a schedule is established every person committed to the event must show up. If an unforeseen circumstance happens and the scheduled Distributor cannot be at the event at their scheduled time it should not be up to the coordinator to replace or cover said distributor unless it is agreed upon prior to event. It should be up to the cancelling distributor to find a replacement for the scheduled time and the costs.

E-Establish who is bringing what materials and setup for the vendor booth including signage, balloons if allowed, empty product bottles for display, brag book, before and after pictures, lead jar, drawing tickets, wrap room, wrap supplies, bottles of water, trash can, booth lights etc. Now, at vendor events and expos there are many opportunities to be a vendor but if you are not a paying vendor at an event and are doing what a great Distributor does by wearing your It Works gear and blitz cards and see an It Works booth, you should visit the booth and introduce yourself as we are a OTOM family. But, be considerate of the team working the event and the expense they paid to be there and leave the blitzing of other vendors and leaving blitz cards in the bathroom to the team working the event. It is just out of courtesy and respect for your fellow Distributors.Make sure you give each person in the booth an opportunity to walk around the event with blitzing opportunity of the other vendors. Bring your free wrap drawing entry blanks with you to ask the vendors if they would like to enter. This opens doors of conversation and an opportunity to shop and make your connections to possible other vendor events that are coming up.If another vendor at the same event you are at selling their goods and services happen to set up an It Works display in their booth, address the issue in a professional and courteous manner. This vendor might be a brand new Distributor and is unaware or forgot about having another It Works vendor at same event. Policies are set in place with It Works in the document section to help with this issue. The Distributor might need training that he or she has not had and you can offer it during the event as a fellow OTOM while you are there. Welcome Distributor to your booth and help answer questions about the products and policies if needed. Most important at the end of the event make sure all leads are contacted immediately following the vendor event. At least within 24 hours, then 2 days after that and again 2 weeks.

BOOK OF THE MONTH

Million Dollar Year changed how I looked at my business and how I looked at my life. What would you do with your last year on earth if you were ever put in this position? How many times have you thought, I'll start tomorrow, I'll work this tomorrow. How many times have you told your sponsor you were ready to get started and then did NOTHING. What if... What if this Million Dollar legacy you wanted to build for your family had a deadline of 1 year. What would you change?

This book will open your eyes and see things as they really are.

Truth be told...*I have talked a good game...*I have wished things would change...*I had even prayed that they'd change...But I'd never done the work.

Quote from the book that caught my attention.

I encourage you all to pick this book up, it's less then 100 pages and will change how you look at life and your business.

Shout Out to…!Danielle Thomas

I want to give a huge shout out to Danielle Thomas! When I met Danielle through a mutual friend about 2 years ago she was the sweetest most introverted girl I had ever met. Danielle decided to join because she had a big heart for helping people and a passion to be home with her one daughter, now about to be her 3rd child. Danielle has had to overcome so many obstacles these last couple years but she never quit. She took breaks but she got back up, brushed herself off and kept going. It has taken her quite some time to come into the person she was created to be, but I think she is finally there! She is now overcoming fears she would have never imagined overcoming all because she now believes in herself, she knows her worth, and she knows she deserves this!! She is sick and tired of being sick and tired and she is ready to change her and her families life!! Danielle I can't tell you how proud I am of you!! Watching you grow over these last couple of years has been truly a blessing for me!!! Congrats on sticking with it, never giving up, and for making the choice to change things! Your testimony is going to help change so many lives one day!!! Love you girly!!!!-Angela Jockett

!SHOUT OUT TIME

I would like to recognize Maria Peke Salas in Spain working her business as a Pioneer opening her Country and growing her team with interpreting all of our training including videos and documents. Hang in there Maria! You are Diamond bound!!

Maria Peke Salas

I want to take this time to recognize one of my biggest contributors to my team. MY MOM, Peggy Breen. Now this may seem biased but I can assure you that this woman works more than I do! She spends time on calls to Canada, travels out of the country for her team, and she is constantly promoting her business. She blitzes wherever she goes! She even did a presentation at an airport in front of 25 people at the Gate waiting to catch their flight!! THEN wrapped 5 of them on the airplane!! Peggy has run into many bumps in the road. Everything that could go wrong with autoships, billing, orders, customers…etc. HAS!! Guess what, she never gave up! She has tenacity! I guess that is where I get it! Peggy is married to the love of her life Steven Breen and they have been working this crazy wrap business together. They enjoy every moment as a power couple. What I love most is that she ALWAYS is thinking forward in her business. She is following up on leads, retuning calls, posting to face book, and spends her life doing what she loves, THIS CRAZY WRAP THING!! I am so proud of you MOM. I couldn’t be more excited to share in this life changing business with anyone else but the most supportive person I know!! LOVE YOU LOTS!! - Tawnia Owens

Business 101: 22 Success TIPS that are simple and easy to use!

1. When you first get started be REAL with your self and decide if you are doingthis for a business or a hobby and write out your plans and goals! I'm sure you've heard it said many times before..."Most people never plan to fail, they simply fail to plan". Take the time to write out your plans and goals. Be realistic, but be tough on yourself. Push yourself. One of my favorite quotes is "What your mind can conceive, it can achieve".2. Get started immediately. Don't wait for everything to be perfect before you start. That will never happen. Jump in andget started.3. IF YOU Treat your It Works business like a full-time business, and it will quickly become one.4. Don't focus your attention on trying to sponsor the "big hitter" who tells you that they are going to bring in 120 people.Sure, it would be nice, but don't get caught up in the hype and emotion. It takes a team effort.5. Know that rejection will happen. Not everyone is going to want what you have. There are some people that you couldput a huge pile of Gold in their front yard, and they would still walk right on by it. Or, they simply will not believe it's Gold. Don't get discouraged. There are literally MILLIONS of people wanting what you have. The journey is identifying those people!6. Follow up! This is the single most important factor to your success. You have probably heard that the FORTUNRE ISIN THE FOLLOW UP! People will rarely call you back, but they will join you if you follow up and show them you care about their needs. Call them and ask how things are going, Face to face is ALWAYS better than social media or test...This is a belly to belly business DON’T forget that fact! By following up with everyone, you will sign new Loyal Customers and New Distributors and get referrals for both Loyals and Distributors7. Have patience. Big incomes never happen overnight. And this is especially true if you are also working a full-time jobsomewhere. It may take you a year or two or three to obtain your income goal. If you knew that you could be doing your home business full-time in only a year from now...would it be worth the wait?8. Don't give your new reps wild expectations. Let them know what to expect. Always be honest with them.9. Realize that your It Works business is going to require an investment. Just like a brick and mortar business, your homebusiness is going to require an investment in marketing supplies and tools and TIME and ENERGY! Thankfully It Works only requires and 80BV autoship to be commission qualified…everything else is your choice! 10. Don't mail out samples and materials to a few people and then expect big checks to suddenly appear. Get out thereand interact with people!!! 11. Help the people you sponsor as much as you can. Help them get started. Help them sponsor their first two people bydoing 3-way calls with their prospects. Let them know you're there for them and you support them. Teach your new reps the importance of doing the same. That's how you build a team. Involve your upline leadership, THEY want you to succeed so don’t be a martyr or Lone Ranger and try to do it alone… this is a team effort. There is no “I” in TEAM! 12. Don't do things for your business partners that they should do themselves. There is a fine line between being helpful, and doing the entire business for them. Understand your downline is going to do what you do. Lead by example. Do all the things that you want your team to do. Be sure the example you are setting is one that you would want to follow if you were in their shoes.13. Don't waste time on cynics, or non-motivated people. They will NOT succeed in this business, or any other businessfor that matter. Trying to drag someone into your business is only going to drain you of all your energy and beat you down. Let them go and move on.

Page 22: October newsletter

22

14. Don't whine and complain if you have a problem. Business owners find solutions! Work with your upline, read, dopersonal development and find a solution! 15. Always operate your business in a professional and ethical manner. Don't make false claims about your products orincome. Give your prospects the facts and you will build trust. People can be smarter than you think. Most can sniff out if you're being dishonest quickly. Then you have lost your credibility, as well as your prospect.16. Think BIG! Think big dreams. Set BIG goals. Small thinking producing small results. Live life without putting limits onyourself and be sure to create your dream board!!! 20. Always be ENTHUSIASTIC! Smile when you're on the phone. Enjoy yourself and let others feel your enthusiasm forwhat you're doing. People are attracted to your products and business because of your enthusiasm not your knowledge! 21. Keep organized with your business. Have a SIMPLE duplicateable system in place to keep track of those who are yourretail customers, Loyal customer, prospects and business partners, even if it's just a 3 ring notebook to write their names in.22. Listen to tapes, or read books on network marketing and personal development. It will pay BIG dividends as the monthsgo by. Ask any leader in your business about the importance of personal development and they will all tell you the same thing.

#STARTSWITHONE

#STARTSWITHONE: STS simplified

Finding three new teammates and 4 new customers each month for the Steps to Success can seem overwhelming to some. The best way I have found to lessen the stress of it is to break it down into smaller goals. Take your 30 day month, and break it down into 4 week intervals. Each week shoot for one new business partner (distributor) and one new customer. This allows you to plan your weeks out - know how many people you need to get in front of, setup 1:1 prospecting meetings, and shoot for by weeks' end. Remember, everything #StartsWithOne so always start your MONDAY with fresh eyes focused on ONE

TEAM RECOGNITIONI first of all would like to say thank you to Amanda Sattler! Thanks for taking a chance, thanks for trusting the system, believing in the products and trusting me! These last ten months have been so wonderful for me, watching her grow and come out of her shell! This girl has come so far, she is a Green and I admire her attention to detail, promptness and organization!

Amanda Sattler

She keeps me on track! She is always jumping on every opportunity to book an event, if she finds it she is booking it! She loves events and the TONS of leads she gets. She doesn't have a downline of her own YET, but she is always offering out spots at the events to our team. If she finds an event that she isn't able to make she shares it out for others to utilize! She is truly OTOM all the way and wants nothing more than the success of others! She is always encouraging others and always positive! She will lend a hand to help out in anyway. She also opens up her home every Wednesday for our open wrap parties and an opportunity for our team to get connected! Amanda understands that building a business takes time and knows that when her time comes, she will build strong! We have become so close, we've laughed, we've cried-- I always enjoy our talks! Amanda is not just a teammate, she has become one of my best friends and my friends are family to me. I am so proud of her and I am so excited to see what her future holds!! Love ya girl!

Product of the Month

by: Triple Diamond, Dorene Johnson

I HAD to choose Confianza as product of the month because I took this supplement for the first time ever this past weekend. I participated on Lisa Fuller's training panel at Kami Dempsey's September to Remember training with 1500 people in the audience!I normally don't get nervous but when I saw Kami's picture on facebook of the theatre style room and stage we were going to be on my heart starting racing just looking at the picture! I knew I had a bottle of Confianza in my cupboard.I took 2 capsules before I left my house and I just felt a calming effect on my drive. When we were called to the stage my heart wasn't racing out of my chest and I felt more confident when our training session started. I now take 2 capsules daily with my normal routine because everyone has some type of daily stress. It has become one of my favorites in a short amount of time.
