THE MARIAN ICON The Marian Icon for Persecuted Christians around the World is on display this weekend, Saturday October 5th — Sunday October 6th in the narthex of our parish. The 2019-2020 Marian Prayer Program, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, presents the 18th Marian image of Our Lady of Help for Persecuted Christians. This year, the prayer service is intended to raise awareness of the plight of Christians persecuted for their faith and to stand in prayerful solidarity with them. Since its inception in 1979, the Knights of Columbus’ Marian Prayer Program has held more than 166,900 local council and parish prayer services with some 20 million participants. There will be adequate quantity of prayer cards #10740 and prayer booklets #5050, traveling with the Marian Icon. ATTENTION ALL YOUTH The National Catholic Youth Conference will take place November 21-23, 2019 with our diocesan delegation leaving on Wednesday, November 20th. This year the conference will be held in Indianapolis, IN with the theme “Blessed, Broken, Given”. This will be an exciting time for our youth and those involved in youth ministry to gather in celebration of faith with others from all over the country. You are invited to be part of this trip. Departure from Owens-boro on 1-22-20 at 8:00 pm, spend two days in Washington DC at the Hotel where the convention is to be held.
