• Remove everything from your desk and out of eyesight

• Talking=cheating• I will come around to collect the quizzes. You

do not need to raise your hand to let me know you are done. Place the quiz upside down on the right corner of your desk.

• Once you are finished, please be reading your book

• Role: You are a travel agent. Your job is to explain the kinds of things each family member would like see or do on a cross county vacation.

• Audience: 4 different family members (a mix of any of the following- mom, dad, young son, older son, young daughter, older daughter)

• Remember! They will each like different things for different reasons! You will need to explain this and look into it!

• Format: This will be an informational piece. You should write two paragraphs for each family member explaining what it is they would want to do and why.

• Topic: Explaining why a family of four (each family member) would want to go to which place and why on a cross country vacation. It should be free of YOUR opinion but keep the opinion of the audience in mind (for example why would a teenage girl want to go to a Katy Perry concert in Idaho but a little boy not?)

• You must visit at least one recreational attraction, one national park and one historic place. Try to compromise!
