Kid’s Day – rain did not deter the enthusiasm enjoyed again this year for our annual Kid’s Day. A brief hay wagon ride before the rain followed with some creative pumpkin carving reinforced with great food, including fresh taffy apples, was enjoyed by all.

Congratulations Dominic Pacenti on the recent marriage of your son Nicholas Pacenti to Katelin Miller! Condolences

Our condolences to Sharon Obuchina and her family on the recent passing of Dan Obuchina. Dan and Sharon were both former longtime active members of Wide Waters Yacht Club with Dan serving as our Fleet Captain from 2004-07 while Sharon was an active Board member for nine years. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Obuchina family.

As the boating season comes to an end, so does the seasonal operation of Captain’s Cove Bar and Grill. This year’s closing festivities included special wishes for Irma and Donna opening a new business, Pirates Cove, in Yorkville, Illinois. We wish them the best of success in there new endeavors and look forward to seeing Irma there soon with our favorite cocktails!
