Three strangers are reunited by an astonishing coincidence at age 19 after being born identical triplets, separated at birth. This documentary film is the troubling story of David, Bobby, and Eddy, who each were placed as infants with different adoptive families. The boys grew up in distinctly different environments; they were strategically placed in a blue collar, a middle-class, and a wealthy home by Dr. Peter Neubauer of the Child Development Center, whose goal was to study the boys, and answer the fundamental nature vs. nurture question. Join members of the “mature” BJBE community for a delicious dinner before Shabbat Services. Personalize your dinner table by bringing your own Shabbat candlesticks and kiddush cup. If you are a family that likes to make their own challah, please let me know if you would be willing to prepare about 8 challahs for all attending the dinner to enjoy. Shabbat Services at 7:30 pm will include SOUL ZIMRA, a delightful music ensemble featuring Andy Dennen, Gary Schaffel, and Marcus Newman. Our community will also recognize BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH. All are encouraged to wear pink. The Oneg will feature pink treats and information on breast cancer research and support.

____ I LOVE TO ENTERTAIN! We enjoy WOMEN’S SEDER, SENIOR LUNCHEON, MEMBERSHIP DINNER and many other upcoming programs (INCLUDING POP-UP PROGRAMS). We always need help with planning, hosting, set up and clean up.
____ I AM SOCIALLY CONSCIOUS! We provide BIRTHDAY BAGS to DEERFIELD FOOD PANTRY; CORRESPOND WITH ISRAELI SOLDIERS; collect TOYS and SCHOOL SUPPLIES for JCFS; contribute to the ARK; and we MAKE PILLOWS for cancer patients. All of these, and MANY MORE activities, need your help in many ways.

Cheri is a Certified Health Education Specialist, Personal Trainer and
Yoga Instructor with a B.A. in Community Health Education, on staff at
the Park Center for Health and Wellness in Glenview
No experience necessary! The class will include Gentle Yoga moves for those with limited mobility and
easy moves for first timers. Yoga is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual
practices or disciplines. It’s a total mind-body workout that combines
strengthening and stretching poses with deep breathing and meditation and
relaxation. Yoga is not a fad! Join us and learn this ancient method of exercise
and mindfulness that has been around for over 5,000 years.
Please bring a towel or mat, and wear comfortable clothing. There is no charge, and all are welcome to attend.

BJBE is participating in a nonpartisan initiative led by the Religious Action Center (RAC) of Reform Judaism to encourage reform Jews across the country to become more active and engaged voters, specifically in the upcoming November election.
BJBE’s social justice team is working to confirm that 100% of our congregation is registered and committed to vote. You can help us reach this goal by completing the voter pledge card below and returning it to the drop box in the BJBE village center, where there will be additional pledge cards.
For parents of young adults between 18 and 22, we’re asking you to confirm that your kids are registered (you’re welcome to submit a pledge card for them) and let us know if they need assistance with absentee voting.
