Located 142 km northwest of the deep sea port town of Baie-Comeau on the Quebec North Shore and accessible by paved and logging roads. The Julie project is one of the main active exploration projects for St-Georges and covers over 4000 hectares The main discovery contains semi-massive & massive sulphides associated with magmatic intrusive rocks of gabbroic composition. The Sulphides consists of pyrite, pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite, and pentlandite. The mineralization is hosted in the gabbro-norite.

NICKEL
Active exploration project covering 286 hectares within a known lithium district. Albeit situated only 4 km from the Quebec Lithium Mine it constitute a new discovery. Le Royal is easily accessible and lies close to infrastructure and facilities.
LE ROYAL PROJECT
Highlights
Sample collected yields 2.508% LiO2
Regional geological environment is favourable to potential large
discovery
Lithium found in the samples is contained mostly in Lepidolite with the presence of spodumene
Active exploration campaign:

LITHIUM
In hard rock mines, the target ore is often rich in sulphide minerals. As the mining process exposes the sulphides to water and air, they react to form sulfuric acid. This acid can dissolve other harmful metals and metalloids (like arsenic) from the surrounding rock. Acid mine drainage can be released anywhere on the mine where sulphides are exposed to air and water — including waste rock piles, tailings, open pits, underground tunnels, and leach pads.
THE ACID MINE DRAINAGE PROBLEM
Acid mine drainage is considered one of mining’s most serious threats to water resources. A mine draining acid can devastate rivers, streams, and aquatic life for hundreds, and under the “right” conditions, thousands of years.
Thousands of old mines sites or old mining tailings across North America may require water treatment for hundreds to thousands of years, or “in perpetuity” as a result of acid mine drainage or metals leaching. Water treatment can be a significant economic burden to the public if a company files for bankruptcy or refuses to cover water treatment costs.
TECHNOLOGIES
Pyrrhotite present in wet tailings dams constitute a serious long-term environmental issue related to the eventual emergence of the Acid Drainage phenomenon.
Pyrrhotite
THE SOLUTION: HYDROMETALLURGICAL TREATMENT OF PYRRHOTITE CONCENTRATES
Pyrrhotite (Po) is the main sulphide gangue and was the major contributor to the acid rain problem that finally began to be addressed in the 60’s and 70’s
Sulphur dioxide
St-Georges is developing methods to enable the re-treatment of pyrrhotite containing tailings through a process to recover the nickel and other metal present and stabilise or extract the remaining sulphur.
Acid Drainage R&D Initiative
Part of the “Acid Drainage R&D Initiative” financed by St-Georges for 70% and Strategic Metallurgy Pyt Ltd. for 30%.
Financing
Strategic Metallurgy has a strong background in hydrometallurgy and has a large knowledge base assigned to this project hence making it possible to go from the proof-of-concept and pilot plant testing stages to commercial deployment ready within 18 months.
Milestones
LITHIUM MUDS & SEDIMENTS
EXTRACTION PROCESS
Lithium ores are generally contained in one of four sources: Pegmatites Hard Rocks, Liquide Brines, Mica & Solid Sediment. Micas and Sediments are rarely exploited due to a string of issues including the lack of economical extraction process. In the particular case of Sediments/Muds: The presence of contaminants rendering the lithium unusable.

Iconic’s Bonnie Claire Lithium Project, Nevada
In parallel to St-Georges collaboration with Lepidico Pty (ASX:LPD) to leverage their Mica Lithium extraction technology for LeRoyal & Ungava prospects, St-Georges’ Canadian Team has been working on an innovative In-Situ extraction & Processing technology suite for the muds & sediments originating from geothermal sinters.
Peripheral challenges that arisen from this R&D initiative that is primarily aimed at the Rekjane Project in Iceland lead our metalurgical team to make some break through
findings that are readily applicable to the research initiative for the processing of the material found at
Bonnie Claire’s solid sediments deposit.
