My apologies for getting the Highlights out so late this month! Life holds many unexpected surprises along the way and so it was on October 5th when I found myself in the ER at Culpeper Hospital then surgery on my knee for a torn meniscus on October 7th! I knew I had put a lot of stress on my knees over the summer with the garden but never expected this to happen. It's been a very painful experience that in addition to the surgery includes heavy duty medication, physical therapy, and a recovery time of 4 to 6 weeks. I'm now in week two and am working from home as I am able. Steve is taking very good care of me so please keep him in your prayers, too, as well as Kandy and the staff till I get back to the office. WPRZ was once again chosen by Jennifer Jenkin's homeroom class as the ministry to serve for their annual Serve-a-Thon on Friday, October 2nd. The kids were assisted by Carrie Foscato and her three kids, Joshua, Jeremiah, and Joy and together the group put together over 400 gift packs to be given out on October 31st during the Culpeper Renaissance's Trick or Treat project on East Davis Street. Each pack contains candy and a flyer inviting the kids to tune into "Kids In Tune" on Saturday mornings. Please pray with us that God will use these little treat packs in a powerful way for His glory! Anna Price Promoted to WPRZ Office and
Production Assistant
We are so pleased to announce that Anna Price is now a part of our regular staff here at WPRZ! Anna has been volunteering at WPRZ since last April in our bookkeeping department and also helped out with several WPRZ outreaches including our past Christian Country Concert series. She is a Culpeper resident and graduated as a music business student from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville. While there she volunteered for several organizations including the International Bluegrass Music Association. Anna will be working three days a week and will be doing a variety of tasks in the office, production, and music departments. We are very blessed to have Anna working with us at WPRZ! Anna will take over most of the duties Carrie Foscato is leaving behind as Carrie begins the very important job of homeschooling all three of her lovely children. Carrie will continue to be our Social Media Director but will no longer be coming into the office on a regular basis. Our prayers go with her in her new endeavor.
