A Letter from the Chair
As you’ll read in the following pages, your Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce has accomplished much this past year. Yet we recognize more can be done to ensure the local economy remains vibrant and has the best chance to improve. Similar to Jackson Hole business owners, Chamber leaders and staff focus on providing you vital services when needed. To ensure we are doing the best job possible, we always ask if our efforts are effective for and valued by Chamber Members and the tens of thousands of visitors we have the chance to influence.
The most significant development of the year was the adoption of new bylaws governing the Chamber of Commerce and its board structure. This has and will help us stay focused on what we do in Jackson Hole.
Chamber work is now divided among six committees that steer offerings to members and the community. Each committee is led by at least two of our board members. With the additional help of committee volunteers, board members directly develop and evaluate our programs, always asking if they are effective. Additionally, the new board
structure clarifies the path one must take to sit on the Chamber board. Under the new system, future board members will gain first-hand, ground-level experience before they take on broad leadership roles. Early results show we chose the right course.
With this as background, I’d like to recognize the efforts of our board and staff and encourage you to let us know if there’s something we can do better or if you have an idea the Chamber should implement.

The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce is the first point of contact for many visitors interested in experiencing Jackson Hole and the Greater Teton and Yellowstone Area. Visitor Services Agents answer thousands of phone calls and emails each year while also assisting visitors at the Jackson Hole & Greater Yellowstone Visitor Center and Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce Administrative Offices.

The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce would like to recognize John Frechette of MADE and Kristine Harris of Jackson Whole Grocer for their efforts in uniting the business community to welcome the cast and crew with beautiful gift bags that tempted the cast and crew to explore local businesses and to shop for gifts and souvenirs. Heather Falk, Tourism Manager, noted that these efforts helped to boost business for the entire community: “With the sheer variety of local products and items included in each welcome bag, it was a boost to any local business who generously donated product. In numerous instances, the cast and crew went out shopping to find other items like the ones they received in their welcome bag!”
