There has long been a mentality in the Church of thinking that our job is to only pray and that someone else should act on our behalf and do something about our prayers. ACTION POINTS | by Kamran Karimi

Matthew 10:1 says, "And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease."

We see here, three things that Jesus did: 1. He taught, 2. He preached the gospel, and 3. He healed people and performed miracles. If we are going to be followers of Jesus we must do the works He did. You might say, But I am an engineer or a sales person! My question to you is, What prohibits engineers or sales people from teaching, preaching and healing? Whatever your profession is, Jesus wants you to follow in His footsteps and help people by His grace.

Notice, that when Jesus saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them because they were weary and scattered. Jesus saw every individual that made up the multitude. Generally, people see a lot of things as they go about their day but they rarely see the multitudes that surround them.

Joel 3:14 declares, Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.

Notice, that when Jesus saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them because they were weary and scattered.

I remember a story that I once heard. There was a pastor walking in Central Park in New York City, New York. As he walked around, the Lord asked him to look around and tell him what he saw. He responded, I see trees in the park, sky scrapers, buildings, taxis, and airplanes. The Lord replied to him, Thats not what I see. I see people walking under those trees and in the park, I see people in the sky scrapers and buildings, and I see people riding in those taxis and airplanes!

I want you to notice that Gods perspective and our perspective can be so very different from one another. If we are to follow the Lord and be like Him, we must have the same perspective that He does and His perspective is always people. He loves and cares for them. It doesnt matter what their race, culture, or ethnicity is. They are always on His mind.

As I shared earlier, many people go through life and they never see the multitudes. If we are going to be like Jesus we must also see the multitudes as He saw them. If we do not see them, then we cannot reach them with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The first step in reaching out to Muslims is that you first have to see them as people that Jesus loves and died for. Unfortu-nately, at present, there is a strong current of hatred brewing within the Church toward Muslims. It is, as if, we cannot see them as human beings that God loves! If we cannot see them this way, then we cannot be moved by compassion to reach out to them. Jesus is moved with compassion for all people, including Mus-lims all around the world. The true compassion of Jesus is rich enough to reach every person, anywhere! If His compassion is not moving us as the Church to reach out to our Muslim neighbors both next door and around the globe, then we should ask ourselves what is motivating us?

Some people in the Church see Muslims as inferior to them. They see them as enemies and therefore they never reach out with Gods love. This type of Christian-ity is not real, it is a counterfeit and is polar opposite from what God had in mind when He sent Jesus.

What does it mean to be moved with compassion? It is not feeling sorry for them! Feeling sorry for people never motivates us to do anything to change their circumstances! But, when you are moved with com-passion for someone, you begin to think thoughts such as, How can I alleviate their pain? How can I make a difference in their lives? How can I make their lives better? How can I help them get to know God and experience His goodness? And as your compassion develops, it will bring answers to these questions and move you into action!

Jesus said the harvest is plenteous. Yet, many people look at the harvest of Muslim souls and say they are too hard to reap! Are you kidding me? Jesus never looked at any person or group of people that way. He simply said that the harvest is ready and plenteous but the laborers are few. In short, the laborers are too busy complaining about the harvest and not busy harvest-ing!

What I see here is that the problem is not with those who need salvation but with those who already have it. There are a lot of Christians who have become a part of the Church but they have not been transitioned into laborers or workers. They have accepted and identi-fied with Jesus Christ, but they have not made the transition to becoming a worker. When you see that the harvest is plenteous, you will begin to think of creative ways to reach the harvest.

Know that Amy and I love you! We believe in you! We are praying that you would be motivated and moved into action that would bring forth fruit for the kingdom of God!

This past month, we (Myself, David Nadri, and Ashkan) just returned from a two-week trip into the middle east. We had 16 Iranian leaders join us for intensive training at our Iranian Leadership Summit.

    GLOBAL E F F ECT

We had the honor of having Dr. Terry Law, Joel Vesanen, and Kevin Bjorklund from World Compassion International and Pastors Corey and Rose Erman from Turkish Revival Ministries as guest speakers; they all

assisted in imparting to and training these amazing leaders.

They all had such an intense desire for knowing Jesus and His ways. Our theme throughout this conference was, Understanding the Kingdom of God, and Gods Author-ity.

    Yo u s h o u l d h a v e s e e n t h e h u n g e r o f t h e s e a m a z i n g p e o p l e !

We had the opportunity to water baptize seven of our leaders. You should have been there to see the joy on their faces, their commitment to the cause of Jesus Christ and the notable change that took place in their lives during our time together.

The Lord has spoken to Amy and myself to conduct these meetings quarterly so we can spend more face time with our leadership in Iran. On another note, in collaboration with World Compassion International and Turkish Revival Ministries, Global Exploits Minis-tries has been able to secure space for 13,000 Farsi New Testaments and 25,000 Farsi Story of Jesus booklets to be distributed by our leadership among Iranians throughout the Middle-East. In addition to these, we also were able to plant and establish four iPod Bible Schools into Iran.

We have already received the Story of Jesus booklets and await the arrival of New Testaments in October. Please continue to keep us and our leadership team in your prayers for safety and courage to keep on sharing the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ. Also, we will be conducting our next conference around the Christmas season and will keep you posted in our next newsletter about the details. Thank you for your prayers and financial support. Together we are having a Global Effect!

If you feel led to move into action, using your gifts, talents, prayers, or finances for the cause of reaching Muslims for Jesus Christ; please take the time to fill out our

response card and designate how youd like to be involved! Thank you for all you do!

More and more, we want to express our gratitude for your prayers and support that help us continue the work God has called us to: tending the Lords sheep and bringing more people to the saving grace of Jesus Christ. As one river, with all the streams meeting and flowing in one direction, we can do more for the glory of Jesus. Unity among the body of Christ is one of the most important ways for us to stay effective in reaching people who do not know Him. Im reminded that in Acts 2:1 the day of Pentecost came as they were ALL TOGETHER, in one place, and in one accord. There is strength and power in numbers. However, it is of the utmost importance that we all move in the same direction and focus our strengths, gifts, talents, prayers, and finances towards the ONE direction God is leading.

Today, I encourage you, do not not just half-heartedly give of yourself, but completely give yourself towards the direction God is leading you. When you do this, you will be the most effective for the Kingdom of God!
