    PRAYER LIST FIRST CHURCH: Happy birthday to Mr. Jack Hoekstra, who is turning 81 on the 12th, and to Mrs. Tracie Vanderzwan, who is turning 73 on the 17th. Have a blessed day. GRACE CHURCH: Happy Birthday to Don VanderHeide, who celebrates his birthday TODAY! We also wish a Happy Birthday to Kees Schenk, who turns 70 on October 15. May you each have a blessed day! With thanksgiving to God, Gary Heyink and Gerda Damm, along with their families, warmly welcome you to join them in the celebration of their wedding on October 17 at 7 pm at Grace CRC, with coffee fellowship for all to follow. Cecil Aukema continues to recover in the hospital from a serious infection. As a church family, let us continue to ask that God would speed his healing and continue to provide wisdom to the doctors and nurses. Wyn Groens eye surgery was able to happen as scheduled on Monday, for which we are thankful and also for the good outcome! The surgery went well and we pray for patience during the recovery and continued healing. NEW PHONE NUMBER: Dennis and Michelle Koomans: 519-784-0124. Please note that this replaces their home phone number. From Meike VanVeen: Thank you for the praying for me while I was in the hospital. We are touched by your love and support during this time. It made such a difference! I am thankful to be home again! I need to be patient but Im improving slowly. God is good! Meike and Ron VanVeen From Ray and Theresa VanderSluis: We are very thankful that our grandson, Jackson Ray Vandersluis, was able to come home September from hospital September 24 and is thriving at home with the rest of his family! From Metty and Frank Beute: Thanks for all the prayers, meals, cards, visits and phone calls before and after Mettys surgery. We thank God for his care and allowing us to be a part of such a loving and caring church family. It is very much appreciated.

    Reformation Day Service: Please mark your calendars now to join us. On October 25 at 6:30 p.m., Blenheim CRC will be sponsoring a Reformation Day worship service at Grace CRC in Chatham. Rev. Peter Hogeterp will deliver the message, Who Is the Real Enemy? based on Ephesians 6:12. Worship will be led by Rob & Elisabeth Enzlin and Pastor Tim & Cynthia Luimes. Nursery will be provided. Refreshments will follow the service.

    CHURCH COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS Christmas Eve Choir - Calvary invites anyone who loves Christmas music to join our Christmas Eve choir! Rehearsals will be Thursday nights from 7:15-8:30, starting on Thursday October 15.     A team of money coaches at Gregory Drive Alliance Church will be leading the Money Course put out by the group Christians Against Poverty (C.A.P.) This is not a course designed for people in serious debt who need help in managing creditors, the banks, etc. It is primarily for people who would like to know more about putting together a family budget, managing money with three accounts, saving money and other things. The schedule for the fall of 2015 and winter of 2016 has been finalized. We will run the course twice (depending on interest and demand) for a period of five weeks each on the following Wednesday dates.

    November 4, 11, 18, 25, December 2, 2015 from 7-8:30pm.

This will be a wonderful and exciting evening of musical inspiration. There will be no ticket cost - freewill offering will be taken for CCS Tuition Assistance Fund and The Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign. Courageous Conversations Workshop Matthew 18 tells us to talk directly with one another when we disagree and to forgive those who hurt us 70x7. In practice, this can be really hard to do. To avoid the pain of messing this up, we often avoid tough conversations altogether and sometimes this genuinely works. When it doesnt, situations often fester only to explode later. This workshop will explore the possibilities and pitfalls of courageously engaging in conversations that matter. Place: Strathroy East Christian Reformed Church.
