<ul><li>Slide 1</li></ul> <p>OCR Nationals: Unit 22 Creating Sound using ICT Introduction to the unit Slide 2 Overview of the unit In this unit of work you are going to review, design and create a 45 second audio clip using Audacity It will be based around promoting a competition / local business or a new product on a local radio station Slide 3 What it must include You will need to make sure that the clip: Has some appropriate music Has some information spoken by a clearly audible human voice Has suitable sound effects Last for between 45 and 90 seconds The clip should be of good quality and catch and hold the listeners attention! Slide 4 The Assessment Objectives The 4 Assessment Objectives for this unit are: AO1 Review several existing audio clips AO2 Design an audio clip AO3 Create an audio clip AO4 Test the audio clip Slide 5 PASS - (GCSE Grade C) Assessment ObjectiveWork to complete AO1 Review You must list the good and not so good features of at least 2 different audio clips AO2 Design You must describe the aim of your audio clip You must create a simple storyboard covering the main elements of your audio clip AO3 Create The audio clip must be at least 45 seconds long The audio clip makes some use of: importing components, cutting, copying and pasting, and effects The audio clip will be exported in a suitable file format AO4 Test You must test your audio clip using a test table containing at least 3 tests You will identify areas for improvement Slide 6 MERIT (GCSE Grade B) Assessment ObjectiveWork to complete AO1 Review You must give a detailed explanation (a list with reasons) of the good and not so good features of at least 2 different audio clips You must also identify the aim of the audio clips AO2 Design You must describe the aim and audience of your audio clip You must create a simple storyboard with a clear structure covering the main elements of your audio clip AO3 Create The audio clip must be at least 45 seconds long The audio clip must be appropriate The audio clip makes good use of: importing components, cutting, copying and pasting, splitting/trimming clips and effects The audio clip will be exported in a suitable file format AO4 Test You must test your audio clip using a test table containing at least 4 tests which cover the main areas of your audio clip You will identify areas for improvement and action 1 of them Slide 7 DISTINCTION - (GCSE Grade A) Assessment Objective Work to complete AO1 Review You must give a thorough explanation (a list with developed and justified explanation) of the good and not so good features of at least 2 different audio clips You must also identify the aim of the audio clips and suggest a range of valid improvements to help the audio clip meet its aims AO2 Design You must describe thoroughly the aim and audience of your audio clip You must create a simple storyboard with a good structure covering all the main elements of your audio clip AO3 Create The audio clip must be at least 45 seconds long The audio clip must be appropriate and meet the identified aims The audio clip makes good use of: importing components, cutting, copying and pasting, splitting/trimming clips, silencing/fading and effects The audio clip will be exported in a suitable file format AO4 Test You must test your audio clip using a test table containing at least 5 tests The tests will cover the main areas of your audio clip and will be appropriate You will identify areas for improvement and action most of them Slide 8 Folders Create these folders in your user area: Unit 22 Unit 22 OCR Nationals AO4 AO2 AO3 AO1 </p>
