Yearbook Friendship Pages / Parent Recognition Pages Dear Parents: Looking for a creative way to tell your student, “I love you and I’m proud of you”? Placing a recognition ad in the yearbook is always a great idea. Just send us a copy of your favorite photos, compose your message, choose one of our templates, or sketch out the way you want your ad to appear, and we will do the rest. Dear Seniors: A friendship ad or friendship collage lets you and your friends picture yourselves the way you want to be seen and remembered in the yearbook. It’s easy to create. Maybe you have a picture you really like of yourself posed with your best friend or a group of friends. Send us a copy of that photo or photos. Along with it, send a message, a poem, or a short lyric from your favorite song. It can be sentimental or just plain fun. Or you can create a collage of as many photos of you and your friends as you like, paste them to a sheet of paper and we will do the rest. We also accept photo collages created on your computer and printed out on photo paper. Remember, ten friends can create a full page friendship collage for only $30 a person. Prices: Color Recognition Ads , Friendship Ads and Friendship Collages: 1/8 page: $75 1/4 page: $100 1/2 page: $175 Full page: $300 Double Page: $550 Recognition Ad Instructions: Select ad size and design from one of the templates in this mailing, or sketch out a layout of your own, showing the placement of photos, and placement of text. Photos will be enlarged or reduced to fit the ad size. Write or type your text on a separate sheet of paper. Please note: 1/4 page ad templates can also be used for a full page ad.

1. Use clear hi-resolution photos (printed on photo paper) for the best result. 2. Or send in hi-resolution digital photos on a CD, DVD, flashdrive or sd card, in jpeg format. 3. Write your name on the back of each photo, label all CDs, DVDs, flashdrives and sd cards. 4. Please noter: Photos, CDs, DVDs, flashdrives and/or sd cards will not be returned.

All yearbook recognition ads, photo collages, and payments are due by Friday February 9th, 2019, in order to meet our publisher deadlines. The yearbook staff, faculty advisor, and/or school administration reserves the right to reject and/or edit ads, photographs, photo collages, and text without notice. If you are unsure if a photograph, collage, or written text will meet our standards, please see Mr. Gambardella for approval prior to submission. Seniors; please use common sense. There can be no reference or depiction of alcohol, tobacco, illegal substances, activities and/or behavior which violates school policy or community standards.

Friendship Collage Page In Full Color For 2019!

The digital montage, or collage is a popular way to include many students on one yearbook page. To create a collage, many pictures are pasted on a sheet of paper so they overlap and create the effect of one large picture. All hand made collage pages will be digitally scanned by Jostens and will appear in the yearbook exactly as the original layout in full color. We can also accept photo collages that have been digitally created. Just print out your digitally created collage using a high quality photo paper. Be sure to avoid the placing of text close to the edge of your collage as it may be cut off when the collage is placed or cropped to fit the photo box.

HOW TO CREATE YOUR FRIENDSHIP COLLAGE

1. Start with a 8.5 x 11 sheet of heavy "poster" paper for a full page ad. (a limited number of these sheets can be obtained from the yearbook office). Divide this sheet of heavy paper into 1/8, 1/4, or 1/2 page for these sizes.

2. For hand made collages, gather all pictures you are planning to incorporate into the layout. Trim off the white borders from the photos and test a few arrangements of the pictures on the page before you start to cut and paste. Overlap all photos on the page so that no white space appears between pictures. If photos do not overlap, the use of colored paper is suggested on the background for a colorful enhancement. Glue or rubber cement is recommended for mounting all photos. Scotch tape will show when the collage is scanned. When beginning to glue pictures, it may work best to start in the middle and work toward the outer edges. This will eliminate gaps of white space in the middle of the page.

3. Pictures should be mounted so they stop at the edge of the page. Avoid placing text (writing) along edges as it will most likely get cut off during the scanning, publishing and cropping process.

4. Digital photos and collages must be printed on glossy photo paper for best results. 5. THE FACULTY ADVISER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT OR EDIT PHOTO COLLAGES, WITHOUT NOTICE, THAT DO NOT MEET YEARBOOK AND/OR SCHOOL STANDARDS FOR APPROPRIATENESS. (Images showing any type of alcoholic beverage, the consumption of alcohol, party cups, smoking, illegal activities, and/or activities that violate school standards of appropriate behavior will not be printed.)
