Children love to play and splash in the cool water. However, strict safety precautions and rules must be followed to insure a safe and fun time for your children. Never leave a child unsupervised when they are near water, a bath tub or small wading pool, even for a moment. Adult supervision of the child near any type of water is a must, even if there is a lifeguard present. Even if your child has had swim lessons, they must never swim alone and must be watched at all times. A child who knows how to swim may get scared or confused in water and need help! Be CPR trained! Anyone watching a child around water should learn and regularly review CPR for infants and children. CPR can save a life and help reduce injury after a near drowning. CPR training is available at: American Red Cross, American Heart Association, Local Fire Department or hospital. Please have a fun, safe, healthy summer! From your nurses! Be Sun Smart! NURSES’ CORNER

Stay Safe around Water by Michelle and Judy

In the summer, everyone wants to cool off by

going to the beach, a pool, river or a lake.

Children love to play and splash in the cool

water. However, strict safety precautions and

rules must be followed to insure a safe and fun

time for your children.

Never leave a child unsupervised when

they are near water, a bath tub or small

wading pool, even for a moment.

Adult supervision of the child near any

type of water is a must, even if there is a

lifeguard present.

Even if your child has had swim lessons,

they must never swim alone and must be

watched at all times.

A child who knows how to swim may get

scared or confused in water and need

help!

Be CPR trained! Anyone watching a child

around water should learn and regularly

review CPR for infants and children.

CPR can save a life and help reduce injury

Manténgase a Salvo en el Agua-Michelle y

Judy

En el Verano, todos queremos ir a la playa, pis-

cina, rio o lago. A los niños les encanta jugar en

el agua. Sin embargo debemos tomar precaucio-

nes y seguir reglas para asegurar el bienestar de

sus hijos.

No deje a sus hijos sin supervisión cuando

estén cerca del agua o bañera, ni siquiera un

momento.

La supervisión de un adulto es importante

aunque haya un salvavidas presente.

Aunque su hijo haya tenido clases de nata-

ción nunca deben nadar solos y debe ser

supervisado todo el tiempo.

Un niño que sepa nadar puede asustarse o

confundirse en el agua y podría necesitar

ayuda!

Entrénese en CPR! Los adultos que estén

supervisando deben estar entrenados en

clases de CPR y mantenerse informado

regularmente sobre CPR para niños y adul-

tos.

Clases de CPR están disponibles en la Cruz

Roja Americana, en la Asociación America-

na del Corazón, y en los Departamentos de

Bomberos u Hospitales.

Por Favor diviértase, manténgase a salvo y ten-

Inscripción Preescolar 2017-2018 Estamos inscribiendo a niños para el año

escolar 2017– 2018. Por favor pase a reco-

ger una aplicación en la oficina. Niños que

cumplen 3 o 4 años para el 1 de Septiembre

del 2017 o antes y viven en la área de la

Primaria Oak View son elegibles para asistir

al Preescolar de Oak View.

Documentos que se necesitan:

comprobante de ingresos (talones de

sueldo del mes de mayo o junio)

teléfono de trabajo y celular

2 comprobantes de domicilio (cobro de

luz, gas o agua, recibo de renta)

actas de nacimiento de todos sus niños

menores de 18 años

cuatro números telefónicos de personas

adultas a quien podamos llamar en caso

de emergencia

resultados de la prueba de tuberculosis

del niño/a y de los padres o el que será

voluntario en el salón.
