that he had just been held up and rob bed by three men who cut his clothes almost off of him He was a veritable mass of shreds as to wearing apparel and there was no doubt that his tale was true He was only slightly cut by the points of the knives his cloth- ing ¬ protecting his skin His groceries that he was carrying home were taken away from him The police were no- tified ¬ and were on the lookout for the men A hackman reported shortly that he had seen the men and Police ¬ man Baisden took the trail He saw one of the men and ordered him to halt The man was some distance off and made good his escape the bullets the officer sent after him only quick ¬ ening hig speed The police force and the sheriffs office are determined to catch these miscreants and put a stop- to their devilment
