NINTH MONTHLY STATEMENT OF LOWENSTEIN SANDLER LLP FOR SERVICES
RENDERED AND EXPENSES INCURRED ON BEHALF OF THE OFFICIAL COMMITTEE OF UNSECURED CREDITORS FOR THE
PERIOD FROM FEBRUARY 1, 2014 THROUGH FEBRUARY 28, 2014
Lowenstein Sandler LLP (“Lowenstein”), as counsel to the Official Unsecured Creditors
Committee (the “Committee”) of KidsPeace Corporation, et al., the above-captioned debtors
and debtors-in-possession (the “Debtors”), submits this ninth monthly statement (the “Monthly
Statement”) for services rendered and expenses incurred by Lowenstein on behalf of the
Committee in these chapter 11 cases from February 1, 2014 through February 28, 2014 (the “Fee
Period”). The Monthly Statement is submitted pursuant to the Order Establishing Procedures
for Interim Compensation and Reimbursement of Expenses of Professionals Pursuant to Sections
105(a) and 331 of the Bankruptcy Code entered on June 20, 2013 (the “Interim Compensation
Order”) [Docket No. 152].
In view of the non-for-profit status of the Debtors, Lowenstein agreed to reduce the total
amount of the fee portion billed on each of its invoices in these cases by ten percent (10%).

Accordingly, although it incurred $42,011.50 in fees, Lowenstein only seeks payment of
$30,248.28 in fees, which constitutes 80% of $37,810.35, which equals the gross amount
incurred by Lowenstein during the Fee Period less the ten-percent (10%) voluntary reduction,
and (b) reimbursement of actual and necessary costs and expenses in the amount of $191.06. A
detailed description of services rendered during the Fee Period is annexed hereto as Exhibit
“A”. A schedule of disbursements incurred during the Fee Period is annexed hereto as Exhibit
“B”.
This Monthly Statement contains a list of each individual at Lowenstein that provided
services during the Fee Period, their respective titles and billing rates, the aggregate hours spent
by each individual, a general description of the services rendered and a reasonably detailed
breakdown of disbursements incurred.
Pursuant to Lowenstein’s customary billing practices, professionals, paraprofessionals
and/or staff members maintain records of their billed time for services rendered in connection
with the Debtors’ chapter 11 cases. Thereafter, the aggregate time billed by each professional,
paraprofessional and/or staff member is multiplied by their respective billing rates. The
disbursements consist of all expenses incurred by Lowenstein in connection with its
representation of the Committee including, without limitation, travel and transportation costs,
telecommunications, express mail, messenger service, photocopying costs, document processing,
overtime meals, Lexis and Westlaw expenses and other expenses that would not have been
incurred but for Lowenstein’s representation of the Committee. There may be disbursements
that were incurred during the Fee Period that are not reflected in this Monthly Statement but will
appear in the next Monthly Statement or the final fee application because of the unavoidable
delay in posting of some disbursements, particularly those relating to third-party vendors.
WHEREFORE, pursuant to the Interim Compensation Order, Lowenstein requests: (a)
payment of compensation in the amount of $30,248.28 in fees, which constitutes 80% of

$37,810.35 which equals the gross amount incurred by Lowenstein during the Fee Period less the

services rendered to the Committee by Lowenstein; and (b) reimbursement of actual and
necessary costs and expenses in the amount of $191.06.
