Diffuse vs Regular Reflection
• Reflection: light rays bounce off a surface
• Diffuse Reflection: rough surface; light rays not parallel, scattered in different directions, no image seen (blurry image)
• Regular (specular) Reflection: smooth surface, parallel light rays; image seen.
Virtual vs Real Images
Image: copy of an object formed by reflected or refracted light
Virtual Image: image upright, erect
Real Image: upside down
