FOR STARTERS: Was recalled from Triple-A Nashville September 7 and is scheduled to make his third start of the season and his career…defeated Los Angeles (AL) in his Major League debut September 7 to become the 16th pitcher in Oakland history to win his debut…is the second this year (Overton)…became the 49th pitcher in Oakland history to start in his ML debut, the fifth this year (Manaea, Mengden, Overton, Alcantara)…is the seventh pitcher to make his first ML start for the A’s this year (Neal and Triggs)…this marks the second time in Oakland history the A’s had five pitchers start in their ML debut in one season…the other time was in 1978 (Conroy, Johnson, Minetto, Morgan, Wirth).
