Horn Diane Evers asked:
IYarloop bushfire clean-upl I am also interested in the recouped $5 million from A1coa. Howwas that decided?
Answer:
Following the January 2016 bushfires, A1coa of Australia Limited agreed to the StateGovermnent managing the clean-up of all fire affected properties, which included 58properties owned by A1coa. This ensured that the reinediation and recovery works wereundertaken professionalIy and consistently across the region, whilst utilising resources(contractors/equipment etc. ) already present in the area. A1coa agreed to reimburse the StateGoverirrnent for all costs associated with the reinediation of its properties, excluding StateGovenunent overheads.
The final recoup of funds was agreed with A1coa and paid to the State in June 2017.

Hon Martin Aidridge asked:
I torii to page 64 which is headed "Outcomes and Key Effectiveness Indicators". On page 65under "Services and Key Efficiency Indicators" is the administration of executive governmentservices. I have complained before at estimates hearings that the administration of entitlementsfor members and former members of Parliament clumsily falls under this title of"Administration of Executive Government Services" because we are not executive
government. But when I look at the provision that is made for the cost of entitlements permember of Parliament and the cost of support provided per member of Parliament on page 65and extrapolate that over the 95 of us, I reach a figure of $39,615 million. That equates to 32per cent, or roughly one-third, of the total service cost from that division, or 26.5 per cent ofthe total cost of services for the department, so not a small number by any stretch. When itcomes to outcomes and key effectiveness indicators on page 64, how is it that the departmentmeasures its perfonnance in relation to the discharge of 26.5 per cent of its services providedto members of Parliament?
Answer:
The Key Effectiveness Indicators (KEIS) with relation to Members of Parliament is calculatedas part of a wider fomiula that measures overall effectiveness with relation to service one, TheDepartment of the Premier and Cabinet is investigating different KEl measurement options for20/8/19.
