So here we are with our first full season properat our Fairbottom Street home since the bigrefurbishment. We managed to pack a lot intoour condensed Summer 2013 season with ourin-house productions of Ladies’ Day and HayFever alongside some fantastic touring showssuch as Break The Floorboards and Birdsongand a whole host of superb one-nighters.

But getting back to the matter at hand – ourbrand new Autumn/Winter 2013/14 seasonwhich we’re all extremely excited about and wehope it excites you too. We have a top notchprogramme to take us into the winter months. We are especially thrilled to announce that youcan spend a night in the musical mayhem of the‘Windy City’ with the hot jazz classic Chicago.Sue Mcormick of recent Ladies’ Day fame isalso back at the Coliseum with the new northernspirited comedy No Fat Juliets and followingthat we have the Alan Ayckbourn original,Bedroom Farce, which takes a comic lookbehind the net curtains of a not so typical maritalhome.

Once again we have our Season Ticket Dealwhich includes all three of these shows plus achoice of either Harold Pinter’s masterpieceBetrayal or the award-winning The Holly andthe Ivy. That’s four fantastic productions for£56, with concession tickets also available.

On top of our season ticketed shows we have apacked to the rafters programme which we areproud to host here in Oldham. This includesGeorge Orwell’s still pertinent Animal Farmwhich is with us thanks to the award-winning

ALRA students, some of whom you mayrecognise from our previous production of TheTempest.

As ever we also have our larger than life festivepantomime, Jack And The Beanstalk. Ourtraditional panto is always a joy to put on (oh yesit is!). Anyone who has seen a Coliseum pantobefore will know how much fun they are and toyou others who haven’t had the pleasure, you’vebeen missing out.

At the Coliseum we love to see a bit ofeverything on stage and our range of onenighters is particularly amazing again thisseason. It includes, The Nutcracker presentedby The Russian Classical Ballet, The ReducedShakespeare Company, Motown’s GreatestHits – How Sweet It Is, Toby Hadoke’s Dr Whoinspired comedy My Stepson Stole My SonicScrewdriver and The Marriage Of Figaro.

To round off, I want to thank you all for yourcontinued support. To find out more about howyou can help build a bright future for theColiseum, head to pages 24 and 25.

Thank you, and see you at the theatre.
