You don’t need to - know how to say the Rosary - or have a set of Rosary beads to attend the Living Rosary... You just need to join us! It’s an informal evening - participants gather at the front of the Church
and everyone holds one of the beads of our giant Rosary. We open & close with favorite Marian hymns and a leader will guide us through the Rosary.
The person holding the bead leads the Our Father or Hail Mary when we get to that prayer - it’s a special way to pray the Rosary.
Children are welcome - as are newcomers to the Rosary!
In fact, we hope you’ll bring someone with you who’s never been to a Living Rosary before,
because there’s never been a better time than right now to start praying the Rosary, and this is a great introduction.
THE LIVING ROSARY Monday, October 7th
FEAST OF OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY Starts at 7pm in the Church
All are Welcome! Refreshments afterward in the gym.

EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT
James Wanderman is one of our CTK Troop #29 Boy Scouts who is working toward Eagle Scout Rank. The service project he designed is
the beautification of KINSLEY PARK on Chase Avenue,
scheduled for October 12th
/13th
.
The project includes repainting structures in the playground area that are currently covered in
graffiti as well as the park’s main sign.
Perennial flowers will be planted around the sign and throughout the park and
a new layer of decorative mulch will be put down throughout the entire playground.
New lines will be painted on the basketball court and the project includes general park
clean-up and upkeep of the playground area.
The estimated cost of the project is $950.
Donations of perennial flowers, bulbs, gloves, paint brushes, tarps, safety goggles, etc. would be a great help. Any food/water donations for the volunteer team would also be very much
appreciated. If you are able to help James with his service project, that will certainly well serve
our neighborhood, please contact him: [email protected] (914)277-0122
2019-2020
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM
It is important that every child in our Parish have a firm and complete knowledge
of the Roman Catholic Faith.
SESSIONS FOR THIS YEAR’S RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM
HAVE ALREADY BEGUN.
Each week, our Sunday morning sessions begin at 10:00am in the school gym
and conclude at 11:30am.
IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY REGISTERED YOUR CHILD, PLEASE CONTACT US ASAP.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION OFFICE at 963-7474 ext.14
or email Mrs. Joan Brisson, CRE, at [email protected]
HURRICANE DORIAN was the most powerful tropical cyclone on record to hit the Bahamas, and the worst natural disaster in the country's history. The storm’s damage was catastrophic; most of the structures were totally destroyed or swept out to sea, leaving at least 70,000 people homeless.
To help relief efforts after such disasters, the Church gathers donations within each diocese and then the bishops send the funds to the bishop of the area in need. This way, the funds can be put to use when and where they are needed most.
We are not taking a second collection but we will be accepting any donations through today - they can be put in the Sunday collection basket. Please use the Hurricane Relief envelopes in the back of the Church or write on your own envelope that your contribution is for Hurricane Relief.
Please keep all those affected in your prayers.
