GOV. CUOMO IS PART OF NEW YORK CORRUPTION PROBLEM,

MORE VOTERS TELL QUINNIPIAC UNIVERSITY POLL;

BUT ISSUE HAS NO IMPACT AS GOV TOPS CHALLENGER 21

Government corruption in New York State is a very or somewhat serious problem, 83 percent of voters say, and

Gov. Andrew uomo is part of the problem, !8 percent of voters say, while !" percent say he is part of the

solution, accordin# to a $uinnipiac %niversity poll released today.

&n his bid for reelection, Gov. uomo tops 'estchester ounty ()ecutive *ob Astorino, the *epublican

challen#er, + - 8 percent, virtually unchan#ed from a +/ - 8 percent lead in a 0ay " survey by the

independent $uinnipiac 12'&Nuhpeack4 %niversity.

New York State voters approve +/ - 38 percent of the 5ob uomo is doin#, and say + - 3 percent that

he deserves reelection, little chan#ed from the 0ay " findin#s.

uomo #ets a ++ - 3 percent favorability ratin#, compared to Astorino6s + - percent favorability,

but +" percent don6t know enou#h about Astorino to form an opinion of him.

(ven less well known are 7ephyr eachout, facin# uomo on the 9emocratic primary ballot, who #ets
