NWIX Update

Established in January 2005 taking over the former Manchester Network Access Point Ltd network infrastructure.

Phase 0 (May 05 – July 05) Former MaNAP switches decommissioned, Foundry Super-X install network upgrade to 10GE ring

Phase 1 (August 05 – December 05) Network Increase from 3 site to 6 sites.

Phase 2 (Jan 06 – July 06) Network expanded to Liverpool from 6 sites to 8 sites

Phase 3 (July06) Network expanded to London

NWIX London services

Customer demand lead expansion, into two of the following sites:-

HEX, SOV, THN, THE

Up to 40GE (4 x 10GE) 2 diverse paths available within 7 days

Same pricing model for P2P, QinQ, CUG

Opportunity to Expand the Peering LAN

Peering LAN Update

• 7 new members in 06

• New pricing structure based on Fibre or Copper connections (same price for copper connection irrespective of speed)

• Several enquires for 10GE connections to the peering LAN

• Considerable interest from Content Providers
