1 Introduction This User Manual details the steps to install and use the GoCanvas App on Windows devices.
2 Overview • The NOVA self-assessment health screening is designed to reduce the spread of COVID-
19 within the NOVA community.
• All NOVA students, faculty, and staff returning to campus are asked to check their symptoms daily.
• The GoCanvas app is customized for NOVA and uses approved health-related questions established by the Virginia Department of Human Resource Management (DHRM).
• Personal identifiable information and health information are not collected, stored in the app, or shared by the College.
• NOVA may view aggregated data to look for trends.
• The app is not a contact tracing tool but a self-assessment tool for individuals coming to campus.

3 Install the GoCanvas App Follow these steps to download the GoCanvas app on a Windows device:
1. Connect to the NVCC network through VPN. 2. Go to the Windows Control Panel. 3. Select Configuration Manager.

4. Select the Actions tab in the Configuration Manager Properties. 5. Select Discovery Data Collection Cycle. 6. Click the Run Now button.

7. Click the OK button in the Discovery Data Collection Cycle confirmation dialog box.

8. Select Application Deployment Evaluation Cycle. 9. Click the Run Now button.

10. Click the OK button in the Application Deployment Evaluation Cycle confirmation dialog box.

11. Go to the Windows Program Menu. 12. Expand Microsoft Endpoint Manager and select Software Center.

The GoCanvas app installs on the Windows device. Note: If you are on VPN, this may take some time. Allow the installation process to complete in the background while you work on other tasks.

4 Use the GoCanvas App to Complete a Daily Health Screening Follow these steps to use the GoCanvas app to complete a daily health screening:
1. Double-click the icon on the Windows Desktop or select GoCanvas from the Windows Program Menu to launch the GoCanvas app.

2. Type [email protected] in the Email field. 3. Enter nova2020 in the Password field. 4. Click the Log In button.
Note: We are using generic credentials in order to protect any personally identifiable information (PII).

The daily health screening results display. Based on your responses you will either be Cleared or NOT CLEARED to visit NOVA. If you are NOT CLEARED:
• Stay Home
• Self-Monitor
• Consult physician, if necessary
• Contact NOVA supervisor and company contact 19. Click the Next button.

20. Click the Submit button to complete the submission of the daily health screening results. Remember, no PII will be stored or shared.
