6AT LAST LIGHTING CONTROL MADE SIMPLE.

LIGHTIFY is refreshingly different from other lighting control systems you might have seen. Its simple. It works. Heres how.

LIGHTIFY is wire-free. In a LIGHTIFY installation all the luminaires have the traditional DALI driver (or control gear), and they have a LIGHTIFY Zigbee module, called a DSE. This module has two functions: it enables the luminaire to communicate with other devices (such as LIGHTIFY wire-free switches and sensors), and it generates DALI commands to instruct the driver to switch on/off or brighter/dimmer.

This is DALI, but without the wires.Drag, drop, swipe & squeeze commissioning. Theres a commissioning App (its free) that enables you to group luminaires together, and to link luminaires to the LIGHTIFY sensors and switches that are to control them. The commissioning app runs on your tablet, so you can walk round the installation dragging and dropping luminaires together, swiping sensors into groups and adding switches.

Benefits?- Simple commissioning. In the old days you had to consider DALI long addresses, DALI short addresses and DALI groups. With LIGHTIFY you just drag and drop the luminaires into groups and swipe the sensor or switch that is to control them.

- Robust communications. To pass messages through an installation LIGHTIFY uses Zigbee technology. The result is a robust, proven, mesh network that builds itself, so all devices can communicate either directly with each other, or by passing massages via another Zigbee module.

- You have created your own record. The app records all the groups and the devices associated with them, so if you need to go back and make some changes later you have all the facts at your fingertips. Literally.

- No extra control wires. Each luminaire just needs L, E & N. If the project is a retro-fit you can probably use the old wiring.

- Its simple. All the Zigbee modules work together autonomously to build their own network. In this way they can all communicate with each other either directly, or indirectly via another Zigbee module.


7Users love it. With LIGHTIFY lighting control is on your mobile phone. Theres an app (its free) for end-users that enables them to do all the things they would want to do with the lights from their mobile phone, but which doesnt let them override any important parameters you have set-up via your commissioning app.

The benefits?- Energy saving. In the old days if there were dimmer switches people often didnt use them because they were too far away, so the lights stayed on at 100%. Now the control is on your phone, so dimming doesnt mean getting up and taking a walk.

- Greater productivity. People work better when they have the right light level for their task. With control at their fingertips everyone can now have the light level they need.

The Technology- Zigbee is an industry-standard mesh-networking technology. It is based on Rf communication at 2.4GHz with very low power, so the range is relatively short, typically about 50m. The unique feature of Zigbee is that the individual nodes (in a LIGHTIFY installation there is typically one node per light fitting) communicate with each other and relay messages to and fro. If a message needs to get from point A (a sensor, for example) to point Z (a light fitting outside the lift on the next floor down), and the distance is too great for direct communication, Zigbee will relay the message via one or more intermediate nodes.

- DALI is the lighting industrys standard protocol for lighting control and is defined in IEC62386 A very wide range of drivers is now available with DALI capabilities.

- WiFi is a wireless technology based on IEEE 802.11 standards. It is the basis of the great majority of wireless local area networks (WLANs).

All WISCONSIN LED fittings are supplied with a white die cast aluminium bezel and a polycarbonate, TP(a) rated diffuser panel. These are IP20 rated.
