DESCRIPTION
This document is the NLRB's official Tally of Ballots from an election in which SEIU-UHW members at a California nursing home voted by a margin of 61% to 39% to leave SEIU-UHW and become non-union. The election was conducted on February 18, 2015 at Bay Area Healthcare Center in Oakland, California. SEIU-UHW and its president, Dave Regan, are notorious for cutting backroom deals with employers, selling out workers by accepting low wages and benefits, and failing to support its members, which has prompted thousands of its members to leave SEIU-UHW and join other unions.
