Welcome to our Cross Country Edition of Nunarun. This is an opportunity for the centre to

acknowledge achievements of our Athletes

NUNAWADING CROSS COUNTRY SEASON REVIEW

Nunawading Cross Country Athletes have had a great year with over 60 athletes

participating in the weekly Eastern 7 cross country season each Sunday morning including

our athletes who competed on Saturday with Knox during the season.

Little Athletics Nunawading Cross Country Eastern 7 event was held at BSAT on 21st May

and was a great success due to the support of parents and committee with special thanks to Brian Searle, Michael Fitzgerald and Anthony Ridd for their assistance on the day. We

also trailed PB timing solutions electronic timing gates and Peter kept the day running on

time and we rec’d lots of positive feedback and will try this again next season

LAN Athletes participated in Box Hill Open day, LAVic region and state XC events including

Road Relays and achieved some great results for our centre well done to all the athletes.

CROSS COUNTRY STATE ROAD RELAYS RESULTS The State Road relays was held on Saturday 8th July at Sandown Park. It is a relay event

LAVIC STATE CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS

The 2017 State Cross Country Championships was held on the 24th July at Cruden Farm

Langwarrin. Nunawading achieved some great results with Gold, Silver & Bronze to finish

4th behind Winner Geelong on the medal tally State Cross Country

Nunawading had 20 athletes who competed with the following top results:

COMMITTEE MEMBERS WANTED - EXPRESSION OF INTEREST REQUIRED

LAN are looking for new committee members or parents who would like to help on

Saturday morning. Please speak to our committee about your interest if you have the skills and desire. Some roles do not require you to attend meetings.

We are looking for a few new parents to fill following roles.

➢ Secretary 2018 – will be hand over period in the new year

➢ Computer Co Coordinator - gate timing

➢ Photographer

➢ Officials and Age Group Managers

➢ Cross Country roles with season starting late April.

➢ Canteen Manager
