Number 343 October 2014 Lewannick, Polyphant & Trevadlock Newsletter Lewannick Parish Council We met at Lewannick Village Hall on Wednesday 17 September. A number of residents present voiced a smorgasbord of reasons that reflected their concerns about planning application PA14/0755 - Beacon View. It was decided to hold a further extraordinary meeting on Wednesday 24 September at 17.30 in order for a site meeting to be held prior to a decision being made with respect to this planning application. Following a site meeting we can confirm that we objected to the application on the grounds of the density, development being too close to a working farm and the development boundary. Beacon View Play Area: we are pleased to confirm that we have forwarded a letter of support with respect to the play area. The offer of support was given on the understanding that we will not be involved in the maintenance or insurance as we already have a play park at Lewannick. Dog Fouling - it is noted that, at times, the bins are overfilling particularly in Lewannick. We have notified Cory who have confirmed that the bins should be emptied weekly. You can contact Cory on 0300 1234 141 if you notice that the bins are full. Cornwall Council Leisure: We are in receipt of a questionnaire for our response.
