Bible Classes - 6:30pm Radio Program (WJJM) - 6:20 am daily FBS 2017 During our Family Bible School, held each night from June 25 -28, we concluded our five year series on the life of Jesus. This year, we fo- cused on events surrounding the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Our theme was CSI: Jerusalem. Children were dubbed secret agentsinvesti- gating the terrible crime of Jesusdeath. Children and adults walked through a security check station as they entered the building. Our minister, Rick Rolin, had too much fun with the buzzer. Each classroom had a security checkpoint and children had to place their hand on a scannerto be admitted to the room. Children from pre-school to 6 th grade attended classes or learning centers each night. Our teenagers enjoyed a guest speaker all week, Malvin Sanders, Youth and Family Minister from Highland Church of Christ in Columbia. Our adults heard great lessons on Current Issues Facing the Modern Day Church”. FBS 2017 During our Family Bible School, held each night from June 25

-28, we concluded our five year series on the life of Jesus. This year, we fo-

cused on events surrounding the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Our theme was CSI: Jerusalem. Children were dubbed “secret agents” investi-

gating the terrible crime of Jesus’ death. Children and adults walked through a

security check station as they entered the building. Our minister, Rick Rolin,

had too much fun with the buzzer. Each classroom had a security checkpoint

and children had to place their hand on a “scanner” to be admitted to the room.

Children from pre-school to 6th grade attended classes or learning centers each

night. Our teenagers enjoyed a guest speaker all week, Malvin Sanders, Youth

YOUTH NEWS REMEMBER ME IN PRAYER (CARE Line - 359-9589 after 3:00 p.m.)

Deena Alexander began radiation treatments Wednesday. Ann Cochran is home after a stay in Maury Regional. Barbara Howes has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She will undergo an MRI Thursday (6/29).

Ed Roney has been diagnosed with cancer. He will undergo surgery soon.

Sam Roberts is in ICU at Vanderbilt Medical Center. He underwent a liver transplant Tuesday. The doctor said the surgery went well.

Tea Akins (6 year old niece of a co-worker of Mike Whitehead) is undergoing 30 sessions of proton therapy radiation.

Micah Hart (12 year old son of Jason & Jennifer Hart) has finished his chemo treatments. He will now begin maintenance and will make monthly trips to Little Rock. Cards may be sent to the Harts at 121 Approach Dr. Harrison, AR 72601.

Raven Matthews (2 month old granddaughter of Benny & Brenda Matthews, and great-niece of Tony & Jeannette Matthews) is home after a stay in Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.

Margaret Neil (former Westvue member and sister of Carolyn Cur-tis) has been diagnosed with lung cancer. She is under hospice care and her daughters, Ann & Vickie are staying with their mother at her house on Spring Street. Cards may be sent to 1994 Gentle Rd., Lewisburg, TN.

Pete Newton (father of Chesley Newton) is in Vanderbilt Medical Center. He is in room 5213 and recovering from heart surgery. He will be moved to NHC-Pulaski Friday, June 30.

Brenda Wolaver (friend of Kathleen Rutledge) is taking treatments for cancer.

Will’s Weekly Devo

Luke 6:35 says, “ But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend them without

expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.” Jesus is telling us in this verse that we have to be good to those who are our enemies. This is one of the things that we are

asked to do that is definitely one of the most difficult. How can we be nice to someone who is mean to us? The first

thing we should do as Christians is show them love. Love is a powerful tool and a necessary one for Christians to follow

God.
