Just over a year ago, a cross section of Nudo team members met to assess Nudo’s culture and to define more vividly the desired culture for Nudo. Team members made personal commitments that each would help assure that the desired culture is attained. Why is the culture of a Company important? Our job is where we spend a substantial portion of our lives. The Company’s culture defines how we interact with each other, with our customers, and probably even has a carry-over effect on how we interact with our families and friends. It ultimately provides the framework for success both individually and corporately. The tenants of the Nudo Corporate culture that were defined as being important to the team are as follows: Trust; Respect; Consistency; Teamwork; Professional; Innovative; Responsive; Focused; Customer Sensitive, and Caring. The Nudo team then set forth to establish that intentional culture. Those who could not abide by the tenants of this culture were asked to leave. Those who remained embraced the culture, and thrive with enthusiasm in working together to achieve our goals. Recently as the Board of Directors visited Springfield, the tenants of the Nudo culture could not have been more evident. The team exhibited all of the above characteristics, and it was noted by the Board with many compliments of the team. Departmental managers from various segments of our organization professionally presented to the Board the many accomplishments and plans for their respective areas of responsibility. A quick plant tour further exhibited the Nudo culture in action. Clearly Nudo has established that winning culture! Thanks for your Service!

Nudo Cares luncheon raised $2,000 for the Hinkle family. Matthew Hinkle is a 4 year old boy with an unknown disorder

of which he is the only documented case. All proceeds will support his medical needs. Thanks for caring, Nudo!

The First Annual 2013 President’s Circle and Distinguished Service Award recipients were honored recently at the Board of Directors dinner. As a reminder, recipients for the President’s Circle will be selected annually by the Executive team from individuals who have distinguished themselves in the current year from their peers by significantly exceeding expectations on a regular basis.

The Distinguished Service Award will become more exceptional as there will be only one award given each year. This award will be given to the individual who further separates himself or herself from each of their peers through personal goal attainment, teamwork, and advancing the Company toward achievement of key growth and improvement initiatives. Recipients are eligible to receive the Distinguished Service Award once every three years. As you may have heard, this award has some pretty nifty perks to it beyond the crystal trophy.

Taking it to another level

Every organization has one.Either intentional. Or not. Either good. Or bad.

Either a winning culture. Or a losing one…

GOT CULTURE?

Wally Hamlin, CEO, and Kari Downey, VP Operations of HPR Marketing and Consulting Group accept the Distinguished Partner Award from Darryl Rosser at the recent Board of Directors dinner. In making the award Darryl mentioned “HPR was singularly selected to receive this award from hundreds of suppliers who provide goods and services to Nudo. A few companies choose to be partners who go beyond the traditional buy/sell model and seek to add value beyond the sale. Of those few who choose to be partners, even fewer distinguish themselves in the manner of HPR. HPR truly serves as an extension of our organization. They spend time to understand our goals, and then commit themselves in a time sensitive manner to provide the highest level of product and services beyond our lofty expectations. We at Nudo could not be more pleased with our relationship with HPR." HPR epitomizes  an innovative (creative) spirit and highly responsive attitude.

NUDO NEWS MAY 2014

A key to our success is the ability to grow market share, expand into new markets and develop new customers. At the beginning of the year each Nudo Business Development manager across the U.S. had an opportunity to select a car number for the 2014 Nudo Race

Season. There will be twelve laps—one for each month. Race positioning is determined by each Business Development Manager’s incoming order performance against their territory goal. Those with the highest percentage performance to goal move into the leader positions, and those with the poorest performance to goal are at the bottom of the chart. If the score is a positive number, the Business Development Manager has successfully exceeded 100% of his goal. If that occurs, we are all winners! Shipments will sometime lag incoming orders by a few weeks or a month, so we may or may not hit our shipment goal in any given month, even if we hit our incoming order goal. But we should end up in good stead at the end.

At the end of Lap #04, seven territories have either met or exceeded their goal. Collectively, incoming orders are up 8% over last year. Congratulations to Dan Wilson who is the leader after Lap #04!! We have eight laps to go!

ROUNDING LAP #04

Looking below at the Nudo Field scoreboard, the Operations team had zero accidents, 99% on time shipments while also meeting the inventory goals. Great job, team!
