Congratulations
Congrats to Niamh Hurley and Jane Mulvihill who
received their Munster u16 winners medals at a Cork
Ladies Gaelic Football Association function held in
Mount Oval recently.
Valley Rovers Ladies Football Family Fun Bingo
On Sunday 28th January in Innishannon Parish Hall 3-
6pm. There is a jackpot prize of €100. These funds are
much needed for new training equipment and your
support would be greatly appreciated. Donations of
cakes/buns etc for teas at the interval would be
appreciated. These can be dropped to the parish hall
on the day from 11-1pm.

Camogie AGM
At the recent very successful AGM of the Valley Rovers
Camogie club the following officers were elected
Chairperson Sean Michael Collins Vice Chairperson Paul Morrissey Secretary Martina Dullea Assistant Secretary Orla Deasy Treasurer Alice O Sullivan Assistant Treasurer Donal Linehan Registrar Alice O Sullivan PRO John Mac Sweeney Insurance Officer Nancy O’Driscoll Child Welfare Officer Joan Ryan For the coming year the Camogie club have a new Chairperson and Secretary and we wish them the very best of luck in their roles in the year ahead. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the outgoing Chairperson Leo Flynn for four years of sterling service. He was very professional in how he approached his duties.
Valley Rovers Under 10 Valley Rovers Under 10’s are attending Cloughduv indoor hall every Friday night. A good attendance of players are enjoying these skills based sessions and hopefully they will practice these skills at home during the week. A big thank you to the coaches that are helping out this year.
Valley Rovers Adult Club Runai At the AGM the position of Club Secretary was not filled but at the latest Valley Rovers Executive meeting Rose Hoey was elected Runai of Valley Rovers for the coming year. We would like to congratulate and thank Rose for taking up this very important role. We wish her well in the year ahead

Tickets went on sale for Strictly Valleys 2018 during the
week. Sales were brisk and over 90% of the tickets are
sold now and the remaining going fast.

Valley Rovers History
Valley Rovers are in the process of gathering
information with the view of recording the History of
Gaelic games in the parish in a book. This project is
covering all aspects of Gaelic games, be it Hurling
Football, Camogie and Ladies Football.
We need your Help!!
If you have any memorabilia, pictures, old medals etc
or equally important, any historical information we
would greatly appreciate if you would share it with us.
We have set up an email address
that you can email any items.
Also in early March (date to be confirmed) there will
be a day in the Hall in Innishannon that people can
come and bring interesting items and we will scan
them and you can take your items home again. If
someone has many items and they want us to come
to your house to copy them that can be arranged also.
All information is welcome and we will endeavor to
include as many items as possible.

A joint celebration night including medal presentation
for Adult Club, Camogie Club , Ladies Football Club and
Minors will be held on Saturday 10th February 2018 in
Munster Arms Hotel, Bandon. All welcome to come
along and celebrate the great success of 2017. Tickets
for meal and Disco €25 each, available from 2017 Team
managers.
LOTTO TICKETS
Yearly lotto tickets are due for renewal by 31st January.
Please contact your local collector to renew this year’s
ticket and remain in the draw. New people always

Seán Ward R.I.P.
Valley Rovers wish to express its sympathies to the
family of the late Seán Ward R.I.P. Seán was a Vice
president of Valley Rovers for many years and was a
great friend to all at Valley Rovers. When Seán was
employed at Schering Plough now MSD Brinny he was
instrumental in the Valley Rovers GAA complex at
Brinny becoming a reality. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam

New online booking system

The executive committee has decided to introduce an
new online booking system to simplify bookings initially
for Brinny. The Bleach can be added on in due course
The online booking calendar will give a visual overview
of what times and dates have been booked, who has
booked them and what times are available.
This calendar will be accessible to all members via our
website for viewing however only designated officials
from Adult club, Juvenile club, Camogie club & Ladies
football club will do the actual bookings. Each club will
be consulted on the system in the coming weeks.
